I’m on your side, Phyllis assures Nick – I’d kill anyone who tried to frame you for murder. Chance thinks Nick killing Cane to stop him from taking his Mom’s company is a weak motive. Nick tells Chance that Adam came to tell them that Cane’s got someone buying real estate in GC – Chelsea ran into Cane the other day. Chance is stunned to hear that there’s been a way out all this time. He wants to keep us all trapped so his game can play out, Nick adds.
Are you playing me? Amanda lays out Cane’s motive – the love of your life gave her heart to a man who ended up with a knife in his back; your antique knife. You gave the victim drugged bourbon. You’ve been lying about being unable to contact the outside world – an innocent man would have called the authorities.
