Victor returns to Nikki to say that he was trying to follow Carter until he was rudely interrupted by the Abbotts. You said you had an idea – what is it? Nikki asks.

Finding Cane watching a replay of his security footage, Amanda hopes he’s not deleting evidence. He wonders if SHE edited the footage. Why? To protect your boss – or someone else.

Sharon’s embarrassed that she couldn’t catch her breath. Nick calms her down – us hugging is the most natural thing in the world.

Joining Lily in the statue garden, Audra’s so sorry about Damian. She’s so worried for Nate and Amy. Hearing a noise in the shrubbery, they call out ‘who’s there!?’ and hide.

Phyllis emerges from the bushes to say that she’s only doing some harmless eavesdropping. It might be the only way to find clues that lead to the killer, she tells Audra and Lily.

After some brief humour about Nick’s many bad hair days, Sharon’s still embarrassed – but both agree; we need to find a way out of here.

Thinking that the ‘mechanical’ Carter might be working with Cane, Nikki stresses that they should only trust family. Kyle overhears Victor say that he’s always felt that way.

Kyle greets Nikki politely, then tells Victor that his little game with Audra’s over. Victor has no idea what he’s talking about. I love your granddaughter – your plan to use Audra to compromise me didn’t work – I will never hurt Claire, Kyle vows. Are you done with your little spiel? Victor has something to say.

Back in the statue garden, Phyllis again claims that Cane’s not the killer; neither’s Nick. Who among us is it then? Lily and Audra challenge her.

Amanda wouldn’t become an accomplice by deleting evidence. If I’m protecting someone else – who? Phyllis? a fired up Amanda reminds that ‘she’s your biggest supporter’. She can’t think of anyone who hates Cane enough to kill him – certainly not enough for the titans of industry to risk it all. Cane did NOT delete the footage; he did NOT murder Damian.

Nick makes an assessment that the door and lock are both solid. We need to find something to pick the lock. Nick opens a trunk – hey, look at this.

Phyllis doesn’t know who did it – but a few among us have killed someone before. That’s different, Lily points out – none of us are capable of premeditated murder. Maybe it was you (Audra) because Nate’s brother noticed you were getting close to Kyle. Or maybe you tried to kill Cane because he wanted no part of your lame perfume war. Lily doesn’t believe Cane sent anyone down the mountain for the local police – he brought Chance here to act as his personal investigator – with no resources; making it impossible for him to prove that Cane’s guilty.
