Nick can’t walk because he’s bleeding heavily from a wound on his torso. Sharon sits him in a chair and goes to find help.

Carter finds these questions insulting – Mr Dumas has done nothing wrong. His name is Cane Ashby, Victor adds that people who commit crimes use aliases. What he and Chance want is the truth.

Are you talking about severing all ties with Billy? Diane asks. Jack needs to accept Billy for the man he is, not the man he’d like him to be. My presence in his life might be holding Billy back – maybe he’ll find his true path if I get out of the way.

Over drinks in the maze, Billy continues to butter Cane up. Wanna work together? Cane’s focus isn’t business right now, it’s the safety of his guests. Once this crime’s solved, there’ll be problems to face at home, Billy feels the sooner we make a deal, the better off we’ll be. I’ll give you an answer soon, brother; Cane seems condescending as he leaves.

Sharon runs over to Billy – I need your help! It’s Nick! He’s hurt bad! Both run off. Back in the storage room, Nick weakly talks to himself – come on Newman, handle it – you’ve got this. It’s nothing. He unbuttons his shirt to reveal a nasty gash beneath is rib cage.

Audra assures Kyle that her deal with Victor is strictly professional – your delusions and ego make you think it’s about you. You’re projecting. You almost cheated on Claire with me – you must wonder if you’re worthy of her – do you think Victor’s right in wanting to keep you apart?

Did Cane confide his plan to kill Damian? Victor asks Carter. Chance believes he did what was necessary to protect Cane after the murder. I owe my life to Mr Dumas, Carter has no more information – perhaps you should question your son. Someone saw you plant a knife dripping with blood in my son’s sleeping compartment, Victor glares.

Pouring a drink, Jack flashes back to his argument with Billy. Diane’s saddened that Jack thinks his love and support hasn’t been beneficial. Give Billy some space. Jack’s been enabling Billy. Near tears, he thinks it might be time to let Billy go ~hug~

That’s not good – he’s lost a lot of blood, Billy checks the unconscious Nick for a pulse as Sharon looks terrified.

Audra knows Kyle and Claire aren’t a match. And, if ‘you were on to me’, why did you fall onto the bed with me wearing only a towel. You got a taste of me and couldn’t resist. Stop fighting it. Are you trying to seduce me again, Kyle takes a few steps back. You’ll break Claire’s heart whether I’m involved or not, Audra’s sure. You’re wrong, Kyle barks – and when Victor crushes your little dreams don’t come to me for comfort. You’ve crossed the wrong person and must now face the consequences, Audra warns.

Is he ….? Sharon asks. He’s alive, Billy slaps Nick awake – is this a thing now? he jokes – One of you comes to get me when the other’s locked up somewhere? How do you feel? Not so good, Nick murmurs. He’s lost a lot of blood – if we don’t get him to a doctor, Billy doesn’t like his chances. Sharon panics – there’s no doctor here! And we’re stranded!

Carter sees this as a desperate attempt by a father to protect his son. What would your devotion to your boss lead you to do? Victor asks. There’s no limit to what Carter would do – this man saved me – I was destitute (Carter could never repay that debt) Chance has heard enough – take a hike. On his way out, Carter pauses to say that he appreciates the position Victor’s in but whoever said I placed that knife under the sink is lying. Chance’s spidey senses kick in – We never said the knife was found under the sink.

I have destroyed you, Kyle’s not afraid of Audra – you have no job, no company and when what you did comes to light you’ll have absolutely nothing. Then I have nothing left to lose – and that makes me dangerous, Audra leaves Kyle looking mildly concerned.

Billy’s made it clear that he doesn’t want or need my help, Jack mopes. Diane isn’t sure he can cut Billy off – he’s relied on you for so long. We both know he’ll get himself into another situation he can’t handle.

We need someone here who knows more first aid than we do. Putting pressure on the wound, Billy worries Nick won’t make it.

We didn’t mention a sink – we said the knife was found in Nick’s sleeping car, Chance and Victor pounce – either someone told you they put it there or you put it there to frame my son, Victor concludes. Which is it? Cane arrives to ask and needs to speak to Carter alone. So you can get your stories straight? Victor asks. No, so we can figure out who the real killer is.
