Audra jumps up and into Nate’s arms when he arrives at Society. She’s so sorry about Damian and wishes she didn’t go to Nice – it was a huge mistake.
Walking into the ranch with Nick and his parents, Sharon talks about what a good friend Chance was to her. Victor’s summoned Adam and Vikki to discuss the threat Cane poses; they’ll be here shortly. Vikki and Claire need family after their loss.
At the tackhouse, Vikki’s eager to meet the family at the main house. Claire can’t go – she needs to see Kyle first.
Glad to be home, the three Abbott’s wonder what Cane has planned. He didn’t reveal his hand; we shouldn’t get too comfortable, Jack warns.
Your grandfather won’t be happy that you’re going to see Kyle before the family; it’s times like these we need each other the most, Vikki gently scolds. What about what I need? Claire refuses to change her mind, so leaves.
Mentioning that Traci’s with Amy now, Jack’s full of empathy. After Kyle leaves to meet Claire, Diane worries that what happened between him and Audra, at Victor’s behest, will put a damper on their reunion.
None of us enjoyed ourselves and two good men lost their lives, Audra wishes they all stayed home. Nate relays Amy’s reaction and that Damian will be buried next to Jackson in Chicago. He understands that Audra will be too busy with Vibrante to join them.
Nick and Sharon don’t need to rush off to see their kids so will stick around to see Vikki (who arrives on cue to give her parents a teary hug)
Audra can’t think about work now; Nate and Amy are her priority; she couldn’t be more supportive. Nate had Damian’s office all set up at Winters, as a surprise. Now, he’s gone.
Kyle didn’t fall for it and he exposed Audra and Victor’s ‘dirty little plot’, Jack says. But, he took it to the limit, that won’t sit well with Claire, Diane adds – like you pushing things to the limit with Nikki. Jack believes Claire will understand IF she finds out. Diane also worries that Victor won’t let up.
Vikki’s never felt so empty and heartbroken. Cole was a good man, a good father, and he did a good job with the publishing division, Victor’s sorry they didn’t get to say goodbye. Hearing that Claire will be by later, Victor frowns in disapproval – I see, she went to see Kyle before her family.
In the park, Claire runs into Kyle’s arms.
Spotting Audra as they arrive at Society, Diane suggests they leave but Jack wants to give his condolences to Nate; by the looks of it, he doesn’t know what Audra was up to. Approaching their table, the Abbotts offer Nate kind words. It was a bizarre trip, Audra comments. Yes, so many shocking surprises, Diane says pointedly.
