Kyle wishes he could have been there for Claire. You were trapped, the situation was out of your hands, right? she wants to hear everything. Where do things stand with you and my grandfather? And what proposal did you make to him? None of that matters right now, Kyle makes Claire worry that things are worse now.

When Victor grumbles some more about Claire going to see Kyle, Nikki chides him. Nick and Vikki also understand that Claire’s young and in love. Victor can see where her priorities lie.

Kyle claims that he and Victor rarely crossed paths. Perhaps he’s starting to accept us, though Claire finds it hard to believe her grandfather didn’t escalate his attacks. Oh look – here’s Nate and Audra. Awkward.

Standing, Claire (insincerely) welcomes Audra back. Kyle gives Nate his condolences. Audra’s sorry for Claire’s loss – it must have been hard not having Kyle here. How’s Vibrante doing after the setbacks in Nice? Kyle assumes her investor must be having second thoughts. After he and Claire leave, Nate wastes no time asking Audra what that was about.

At Society, Jack knows Diane must be disappointed that their honeymoon didn’t go as planned. Both agree they should stay close to home (Victor never lets anything go – his evil knows no bounds) He’d consider joining forces with Cane if he thought it would help Kyle and Claire (and take Victor down)

Vikki insists her father let it go – now is not the time to go after my daughter and the man she’s given her heart to. She should be with her family, Victor won’t budge (against his wife and kids’ advice) Arriving, Claire all but pushes the rest of the family aside as she sprints into her beloved grandfather’s arms.

Jack thinks it might be worth the risk aligning with Cane to knock Victor off his perch. Kyle joins his parents to update that he couldn’t bring himself to tell Claire about her grandfather’s plans. Since he didn’t cheat, perhaps Victor will accept that his love for Claire is real.

Still in the park, Nate got the impression this wasn’t just about Kyle ‘getting in a few digs’ – is Victor rethinking his investment? Not that Audra’s aware of – she’s sure he’s more concerned about Cane. Are these problems why you said going to Nice was a mistake? It seems like a piece is missing to Nate. Forget about Kyle, Audra gives him a kiss (though he continues to look suspicious)

Claire lists everyone who’s been supportive (including Nate) She loves her family so much. We’ll see you through this, Victor assures. Nick follows Sharon when she quietly heads for the door, thinking he should be with his family. They invited you, Nick assumes that means they consider Sharon part of the family too. She thinks they should probably discuss what their kiss means.

Jack and Diane don’t think Victor’s changed his position at all. We ran into Audra and Nate in the park, Kyle updates – he was tempted to expose Audra’s attempt to seduce him but settled for a dig (that she deflected with bravado) She’ll be out for revenge too, Jack warns.

We could talk about it or wait to see if it happens again, Nick leads Sharon back to the family (who are giving Claire a pep talk) Victor’s sure they can face anything IF they stick together as a family.
