When Kyle catches up to her in the park, Claire is LIVID – mostly with herself for being naive enough to think that Victor would come around.
At the ranch, Nikki blasts Victor, who, much to her frustration won’t apologize for doing what he feels is right.
cane understands and respects Billy’s hesitation. Phyllis does NOT. Billy doesn’t care about the Newmans but he DOES cares about his family and girlfriend.
Phyllis believes Nick will understand – it’s just business. Really? What happens to ____? (Billy recites a long list of Abbott’s and Newmans) Cane explains that he’ll keep everyone on – but they’ll be demoted and work for him) You think Victor Newman will answer to you? Billy scoffs.
It’s my damn house and I’ll invite who I want to invite, Victor blusters. It’s OUR house, Nikki reminds that Kyle’s been part of their family on more than one occasion – and may be again if Claire has a say.
Claire believes her father would support her fighting for her relationship with Kyle – Cole had issues with Victor too after all.
Phyllis get goosebumps thinking of Victor reporting to her. It won’t be simple, Cane agrees with Billy. He needs him to make a decision. Billy just wants Chancellor – if Nikki continues to run it, he’s not interested. What Cane has plans dwarfs Chancellor. Billy doesn’t care.
Do you ever hear what you say? Nikki blasts Victor for picking on Kyle of all days – on top of whatever else he has planned with Audra. Losing two good men should be a reminder of how short life is – she’s begging him to let go of his hatred for the Abbotts.
If Victor won’t accept their relationship, Claire doesn’t want him in her life. Victor reminds her of Jordan; focusing on feuds and grievances – she won’t live like that anymore. She’s wondering ‘what comes next’ when Audra stops by on her jog.
When Audra expresses her condolences to Claire, Kyle tells her to go jog in another part of the park. Typing her shoe, Audra raises Claire’s suspicions by mentioning the phone charger he left in her sleeping car. Or maybe it was at a cocktail evening – it was such a blur.
Victor will smooth things over with Claire; with whom he shares a ‘special bong’. Nikki fears he’s gone too far this time. Nope, Victor knows what he’s doing. If I wasn’t impossible, you’d be bored.
Billy wants to bring Chancellor back into the family fold and give Chance a legacy. You wanted Chancellor long before Chance died, Phyllis says as she excuses herself to take a call from Summer. Admitting that he is mad at Jill, Billy’s annoyed to hear that the ‘prodigal son’ has been talking to her (and that she attended Collin’s funeral)
