Billy doesn’t owe Cane anything – he’s about to make some big moves. He wants Chancellor, Jabot, Newman and Winters. He’s crazy – like a fox; committed and confident – and he has a soldier in Phyllis.
Though mildly annoyed when Cane calls her an employee and tells her to stay in her lane, Phyllis confirms she can hack into Jabot (and the other companies) What do we do when we’re inside? A little ‘shopping’.
Back at CL’s, Chelsea believes Billy still trusts her; she can reason with him. Adam thinks Billy’s worse than Cane – he’s not out for money or power; he wants blood.
Cane will provide Phyllis his ‘shopping list’ once she’s in. Right now, he’s going to meet Victor. No, she can’t tag along. Victor underestimated me, I won’t make that mistake with him, Cane says as they both leave.
Billy admits that he might have gone along with Cane if the call with Jill didn’t go so badly. Please tell me you wouldn’t sell out Jabot and our family to get Chancellor back, Jack’s incredulous.
Admiring the ranch rebuild, Cane sums up Victor’s proposal – you want to know if I need your help taking over Jabot.
You said no; you told Cane to go to hell, right??? Jack hopes Billy didn’t even consider the option. No, but Billy told Cane he needed to think about it. Tell him you’re in, Jack figures they can take Cane down from the inside. When Phyllis appears to ask what they’re talking about, Jack leaves her to relay a message from Cane – his offer is off the table (he thinks you have commitment and Mommy issues)
Adam’s convinced Billy working with Cane proves it’s payback – he could have just walked away. When Chelsea points out that Victor’s had plenty of opportunity to walk away (from the Newman-Abbott feud) he thinks she’ll need to pick a side; her family’s side.
Cane and I are in alignment; you’re the weak link, Phyllis gloats. And no, you didn’t save my life, Nick did. And you repay him by taking his family’s company? Billy’s going to see Cane – let him look me in the eye and tell me himself. You’re out, it’s over, Phyllis repeats. We’ll see, Billy leaves.
Cane admits he wasn’t upfront when saying he only wanted Chancellor. You must be furious that Nikki was ready to sign Chancellor away for Nick’s freedom. Victor tells him to go after Jabot instead; he’ll not only support it, he’ll put his weight behind it. Together, we can crush the Abbotts – do we have a deal?
Next Week: It sounds, to Danny, like ‘she’s starting to mean more to you’. Daniel’s afraid he’s developing real feelings for Tessa … Jack tells Diane that there’s only one problem with this plan; putting our faith and the future of Jabot in Billy’s hands… ‘All aboard’, Cane welcomes Lily onto his train.
