Jill flew to Nice as soon as Cane called to say that Collin was dying. She found him a changed man who wanted forgiveness so he could die in peace. When Billy mentions Lily and the twins, Jill mocks him; oh, NOW you care about Lily (who you fired)? She then calls out to Cane – I’m sorry you had to hear all this. That’s the last straw for Billy; you weep for me but still have Cane ~click~

Defending Jill, Cane blasts Billy – she didn’t deserve the way you spoke to her. Were you worried about her health when dragging her to France to redeem your con artist father? Stop talking about my mother like she’s yours, Billy snarls. Phyllis gets in between them to finally speak – let’s get back to business.

No, Jack can’t work with Victor; he’s an ‘egomaniac’ who’s incapable of putting our issues aside. Jack will protect his family/company and assumes Victor will do the same.

Declaring their agreement null and void, Victor wants back every dime he gave Audra. You can’t do that, she sputters. Who’s gonna stop me? You? With a withering glare, Audra storms out without further word.

Back at the tackhouse, Kyle shocks Claire with the news that Victor backed Audra’s company because she promised to break them up.

Phyllis thinks Billy should go home and do that thinking he mentioned. Does the offer still stand? Billy asks. It does – Cane hopes they can put their differences aside. After Billy slams out, Phyllis declares Billy ‘ a lot’ – he lost his mind – you guys aren’t a good mix.

Nikki and my Mom suspected there was something behind Victor backing Audra – but not this, Claire’s horrified. He loves you, Kyle stammers when Claire asks what the plan was (beyond being ‘flirty’) The plan was to seduce me or get me in a compromising position. I’d never betray you.

Jack and Nikki are showing off photos of Summer and Harrison when ‘The Shameless Wonder’ arrives at CL’s. Nikki tells Jack that Victor’s awful behavior towards Kyle may have pushed Claire beyond her limit. When she wishes they could get rid of Audra for good, Audra comes over to say that she’s not going anywhere.

No, Phyllis isn’t trying to consolidate power and it’s not payback -Billy’s too emotional to be a cog in this wheel. He wants Chancellor – he’s not a team player, he’s a ticking bomb. Cane doesn’t see it that way. He’s impressed by Billy’s thoughtful gift (the ‘choo choo’ train) Cane believes he’s an asset and wants to mend the rift between Billy and Jill.

You feel you’ve been treated unfairly, Nikki mocks Audra; so full of hate, greed and malice. Life won’t be pleasant here for you. After she leaves, Jack confirms that yes, he does agree with Nikki – you tried to destroy Kyle and Claire’s relationship. I’m the villain here – how terrifying for you all, Audra’s sarcastic.

What DID happen? Claire presses. Kyle busted Audra and confronted Victor. Claire wants a future with him and Harrison, and to show her grandfather how invincible they are.

Claire thinks Audra ‘disgusting’. She won’t give up easily, Kyle warns. Let her come for us, Claire will enjoy making her back the hell off. She has no idea who she’s up against.

You have no shame, Jack accuses. You are all the shameless ones, Audra fires back; sex, lies and dirty tricks in a suit; respected names in inherited houses. If an outsider does a tenth of what you’ve all done, it’s a crime. Do you hate my actions or that when you look at me you see who you’d be if you came from nothing! On the verge of tears, she marches out.

Cane tells Phyllis that he spent a lot of time with Jill; bonding over loving a complicated person (Collin) He saw how losing Billy tore her apart – Jill needs him in her life – and he needs her. Billy won’t feel all warm and fuzzy about you bonding with his Mommy, Phyllis thinks the relationship is broken. As for business, yes, Phyllis is in. Good – leave Billy to me (Cane)

Finding Victor at Society’s bar, Billy asks ‘shouldn’t you be at home comforting your daughter’? Victor counters by saying ‘your Mom lost her grandson; Jill’s a friend of mine – he took Chancellor to protect her legacy. A good man (Chance) is dead and you’re still here. Billy might become an even bigger thorn in Victor’s side. Thorns? Victor chortles – he has a hatchet.
