At Society, Devon and Lily hope the team understands why they weren’t on their game at today’s meeting. How’s Nate? she asks. Not good – he’s upset about Audra. Lily thinks it a good thing he now knows who she is.
In the coffee shop, Audra insists that Claire’s lying. So, Victor didn’t fund Vibrante in exchange for you breaking her and Kyle up? Not believing her, Nate will give her one more chance to tell the truth – if you lie again I’m outta here.
Lily’s not surprised – it was a matter of when, not if. She and Devon both hope Nate dumps Audra. Her empathy might have been genuine but she flirted shamelessly with Kyle in front of us all in Nice. Lily’s gone from disliking Audra to hating her.
Cane checks his to do list – nope, shattering your dreams isn’t on it. Phyllis can’t afford to ‘relax’ – she’s put all her eggs in his basket – putting her friendships on the line. Now, it seems we’re ‘stalled’. Cane’s on schedule. Phyllis is ready to hack into all these companies Cane wants to acquire.
Audra sticks to her story – and Nate sticks with his suspicions. Seeing that he’s already made up his mind, Audra marches onto the patio. When Nate follows, she insists nothing happened in Nice. Kyle must think you a fool for believing him. YOU’RE the one making me look like a fool, Nate disagrees.
Lily updates Devon that the twins are furious – they thought their Dad was busy helping ex convicts change their lives for the past six years. Having an idea what they’re going through, Devon will call them.
Cane’s stopped reaching out to the twins. They’ll come around, Phyllis speaks from experience. They’ll inherit a fortune, she adds. Cane appreciates her support. Wanting to help, Phyllis will forge ahead – give me a project. She can’t wait to have Victor groveling at her feet. OK – what do you know about artificial intelligence? Cane asks.
You think I’m a devious slut – Audra reminds Nate that her story never changed. He warned her not to work with Victor repeatedly – you shut me down. You want me to say that Victor used me to break up Kyle and Claire??? Audra’s indignant. Well, is that what happened?? Nate asks.
Phyllis knows a bit about AI; it’s the future – very exciting and very scary. Cane needs her to become an expert asap. We need to stay ahead of our targets – IE Victor. AFTER Phyllis becomes an expert in AI, Cane will tell her how he plans to use it.
