Devon had no idea it’d get this dark – people have died – you and Damian could have had something special. You’ll help the twins get through it, he knows.

Nate’s begging Audra for the truth – was that Victor’s deal? Knowing nothing she can say will make a difference, Audra says ‘good bye – this is your loss’. As she storms out, Cane arrives.

Cane has a replica train on every continent – he’s on his North American one right now, Lily tells Devon that she tried to get info out of him but only made things worse. Now, all he has left is retribution.

In the park, Phyllis reads about AI on her tablet. I heard you crashed and burned again, she says when Audra stomps by.

Cane’s sorry about Damian, and that he didn’t reach out earlier. He and Chance would be alive if it weren’t for your secret mission (never mind what he’s put Lily and their kids through) Nate thinks Cane SHOULD feel guilty!

Devon’s alone at the bar when Nate joins him. No, he’s not ‘about to hit someone’ – but yeah, things didn’t go well with Audra. Her explanation didn’t make sense – he pushed for a reason to believe her but got the same song and dance. He didn’t end it – she did. I pushed her away for good.

You got your facts wrong again, Audra corrects Phyllis. No, her company wasn’t called ‘Vibrator’ (but you’d know a lot about that) If you must know, she postponed Vibrante so she wouldn’t be under Victor’s thumb. How’s Nate doing? Phyllis feels compassion for him. Did he find out about what we all saw (between Audra and Kyle) in Nice?

Ester doesn’t give Cane a warm welcome – too bad you and Chloe didn’t work out but she’s happy with her fabulous, unwealthy husband and kids. Sitting at a table, Cane gets a text – please stop calling – leave me and Mattie alone – we don’t know who you are anymore. Lily walks in to see the sad look on Cane’s face.

When Nate worries he may have blown up a beautiful relationship for nothing and that Audra might be telling the truth, Devon thinks he’s better off – he’s tired of seeing Audra hurt Nate.

Phyllis thinks Nate’s a great guy who deserves better than Audra. Why did Cane invite you to Nice? she wonders, but doesn’t consider Audra a threat; Cane’s working on something far bigger than you could comprehend. How big? Audra wonders why Cane would trust Phyllis. Also, the pot shouldn’t piss off the kettle – your sketchy past is worse than mine. Phyllis boasts that Cane trusts her – what we’re building together is bigger than anything you’ve ever seen.

Cane hands Lily his phone. She’s not surprised by the text she reads. I can fix it, he just needs to be able to explain to them. You haven’t been able to explain to ME, Lily points out. Cane did it for her and the kids – he was afraid to fail and didn’t want them to see that.

Next week: I just want to know the truth, Lily says. If you think I know Cane’s overall plan, you’re wrong, Holden replies (which Lily finds hard to believe) …. This seems to have been your fathers’ last great swindle, Victor tells Cane – buying up all these properties in GC is the result of dirty money … Claire confronts Kyle – Is there anything you haven’t told me about your time with Audra in Nice? Anything at all?
