Yes, Lily’s mad at Cane for hurting their kids. Yes, they read the articles Newman Media published. Holden’s sorry – and still salty that Damian saw him as a ‘lackey’. Lily thinks that harsh – Damian thought of you as a brother. Holden claims their friendship was over ‘long before his ill-fated trip’ to France.

Sally comes out in a polka dot dress – then a form-fitting pencil dress, then a Jessica Rabbit inspired gown complete with long gloves. Stunning, Billy helps her with her zipper – and then it’s time for his clothes to come off too.

Billy’s fully clothed again; Sally’s in a satin robe. Over drinks, they agree that the third dress is their favourite. She’s excited about Abbott Communications but fears she’s in over her head.

Nick won’t sit back while Cane comes after their family. Believing an alliance with Cane is a mistake, Adam wants to convince their Dad that it’s a bad idea. How did Cane even amass his fortune so quickly? He wants to put their rivalry aside to appeal to their Dad to change course – whaddaya say?

Chancellor isn’t the way to Lily’s heart, Victor thinks he and Cane should become allies. What could he possibly offer besides Chancellor? For starters, Victor can ensure ‘this’ never sees the light of day (he tosses an envelope on the table)

Billy lists Sally’s resume – and I’ll be with you every step of the way Yes, he believes in her – you’re the right person to run Abbott Communications. He steps aside to take a call – don’t tell me you have info on Cane already.

Holden whines to Lily about Damian mistreating him – he never saw me as an equal and didn’t need a best friend after learning he had a brother. You want to talk to ME about shutting down MY feelings? Look at the way you treat your ex (Cane clearly still loves you)

Nick’s not opposed to working with Adam but we can’t talk Dad out of something when he sets his mind to it. We need to convince Cane that the Newmans aren’t a threat. Dad can pull it off – he has a weapon to use against Cane. What the hell can that be? Adam wonders.

What’s this? Another fabricated hit piece? Cane scoffs. No fraud – just facts, Victor claims with confidence – you built your empire from a massive fraud your father perpetuated on the elderly woman who owned the vineyard and chateau in Nice. All of ‘this’; the train, the money to buy property all over GC – all came from stolen money.

You have no idea what you’re talking about – Cane and I have a complicated history, Lily tells Holden. You speak freely about MY business, he points out the irony. Lily’s trying to do Holden a favour by asking legitimate questions re: Cane’s agenda. Why would you care? Holden asks.

Billy ends his call to utter ‘wow’ – Victor’s meeting Cane on his train. He learned this from the PI he hired this morning. What if Cane finds out and comes after us and Abbott Communications? Sally worries.

Nick tells Adam that he and Sharon found info on the chateau’s previous owners when they were locked up. It ‘possibly’ links to Cane. Dad tends to be right about this kind of thing. If this info pans out, Nick won’t have to befriend Cane – Dad can take care of him on his own.

Cane reads what appears to be the handwritten last will and testament of Madam De Leon. She left everything to the love of her life – Collin, using an alias. Cane didn’t know – and what difference does it make if some old woman fell in love with his father and left him everything? So what if he changed his name? So did I. Collin tricked an old woman, Victor knows Cane’s empire was built on dirty money. Yes, maybe he IS extorting Cane – your move.

Billy hired ‘the best of the best’ PI. Cane will slip up and I’ll be ready – he’s trying to steal every company in town. Billy will tell Jack – he can protect Jabot and I’ll get Chancellor.

Damian would have wanted me to protect his friend, Lily claims. This isn’t about him, it’s about you, Holden retorts. She just wants the truth and doesn’t believe that he (Holden) doesn’t know Cane’s plan.

Nick would rather just do his job over a ‘corporate war’ – but won’t stand on the sidelines while Cane goes after his Mother and Chancellor. He and Amanda tried to manipulate her. Told to put his faith in Dad, a resigned Adam hopes they don’t live to regret it.

You tried to have my wife sign over Chancellor in exchange for my son’s freedom – who are YOU to accuse ME of extortion? Victor asks. What do you want from me? Cane asks. Join me as an ally against Jack Abbott and Jabot – or this letter goes to the press, Victor threatens – your call. Appearing resigned, Cane doesn’t see that he has a choice. Victor knew he’d see reason.
