At CL’s, Sally asks Audra if she worked things out with Nate. Answer: a big, fat hell no.
Nate meets his cousins at Society to announce that he and Audra are officially ‘done’. He was so happy – now everything’s come crashing down. Lily’s so sorry.
Strolling through the park, Nick eavesdrops on Phyllis leaving a message for Cane. You can’t just drop a bomb like that then hang up – call me back!
At Billy’s, Cane claims that he was in the neighbourhood. He admires the house and photos of the kids. Whether his news is good news depends on where Billy’s loyalties lie.
Surprised that Nate believed Claire over Audra, Sally suggests she explain and apologize. There’s no turning back, Audra believes it’s too late.
Informed that Victor funded Audra’s company in exchange for her breaking up Kyle and Claire, Lily tells Nate that she and Damian were uncomfortable about them spending so much time together in Nice. When Nate seems to sympathize with Audra’s inability to get a job, Devon hopes he’s not thinking about letting her ‘off the hook’.
Call me please, Phyllis hangs up. Having heard enough to know she was calling Cane, Nick asks what he’s done now.
Told that Cane’s decided not to move forward with his original intentions, Billy’s not buying it.
Sally can’t believe that Nate’s given up – and knows Audra doesn’t give up without a fight. Audra would never have betrayed Nate; hopefully, if she gives him space, he’ll change his mind.
Nate isn’t convinced that Audra betrayed him but, if he had to choose between Claire and Audra’s version of events, he’d pick Claire’s.
Back in the park, Nick correctly guesses that Cane’s the one who ‘dropped a bomb’. What happened? He DOES care about Phyllis but can’t help unless she lets him.
Newman, Jabot and Chancellor are all safe, Cane could win the battle but doesn’t have it in him. His focus is on repairing his relationship with his kids. He tells Billy that yes, Chancellor’s ‘fair game’ – knock yourself out.
