Good morning, Cane bids Lily in the park. She watched his video – it brought tears to her eyes.
At CL’s, Mike leaves a message for Lauren (in NY working on a wedding dress for Christine) He wants to discuss an interesting job offer. Phyllis appears to wonder who made him a job offer.
Arriving with his sister, Nick asks his Dad if they’re going to war with Cane. Or, are we already in one? Adam adds.
Despite Mike’s refusal to answer, Phyllis correctly guesses it was Cane who offered him a job.
Lily watched Cane’s video several times – looking for the man she used to love. Seeing a flicker of that is what brought her to tears. She doesn’t know if the twins have seen the video – be patient – they’ll come to you. Cane will do anything to make things up to them and Lily (who still doesn’t trust him)
Victor tells the kids that Cane’s company has developed AI software that can penetrate any company; moving massive amounts of money around undetected. We need to stop Cane – but how?
Guessing that Cane wants Mike to be his ‘fixer’, Phyllis is still salty that her ‘old pal’ defended Sharon. He’s sorry and misses their friendship. Hopefully, we can rebuild it. Phyllis will wipe the slate clean if he tells her who he’s working for.
Telling the kids about Collin swindling Madam De Leon, Victor will use that information to force Cane into handing the AI software over to him.
Lily doesn’t believe that Cane’s putting his plans on hold for the sake of the kids. This ‘remorse’ might just be another con, she’ll need honesty and openness in order to trust him again.
