Phyllis isn’t scared of Cane – you’re just ‘weird’. Why hand everything over to Billy and Sally? I’m right here! We’re a team, Cane respects and trusts Phyllis – you deserve better than Katherine’s hand me downs. On cue, Sally returns to demand that Cane find someone else – she won’t let Billy go down this path.

Billy’s lucky to have you looking out for him, Cane knows Sally loves him (and is sorry she’s had her heart broken) Phyllis viciously mocks her until she heads for the exit on the verge of tears.

Jack comes down HARD on Billy; Chancellor is your new addiction! You’ll do anything to get a fix! Wire me the money Cane sends you in the morning! You can call your new company ‘Ashby Communications’. You’re on your own – good luck, Jack leaves.

Briefly discussing the launch party being cancelled, Nick’s off to Society. Deciding to join him for dinner, Sharon’s shutting things down when Sally joins Nick on the patio to ask how they can stop Cane before it’s too late.

Encouraged to confide in Nick, Sally rants that Billy’s about to go off the rails – what Cane wants isn’t safe. How can I stop Billy from …. Being Billy, Nick ends her sentence. When Sharon joins them, Sally apologizes – this is my issue to deal with. No, it’s all our issue, Nick believes they must work together to stop Cane.

Jack comes home to tell Diane that she was right all along. Relaying his argument with Billy, he concludes by saying that his brother is now flying alone without a safety net – let’s see how he likes that.

At home, Billy flashes back to telling Sally that he’s done with his mother; he lost Chelsea because of Adam – Chancellor because of Victor. He’ll pay for what he did to me. He then seems lonely as he flashes back to Sally gushing over the ‘new’ and ‘hot’ version of him.

Meanwhile, in the park, Sally cries alone.

Sharon tries but fails to end Nick’s conversation with Sally (by saying that Phyllis isn’t his responsibility) She’s going to do whatever she wants no matter the fallout, he concludes as he shakes his head at Phyllis. She and Cane both look over from the bar.

Cane has to go! Jack vows to force him out before he destroys everything we care about – whatever it takes, he tells Diane.

Drinking alone, Billy flashes back to telling Phyllis that Dumas will help him regain Chancellor – then arguing with Jack in the maze (being warned that going after Victor is a mistake) Filled with fury, Billy swirls his drink in it’s glass. You underestimated me for the last time – Billy Boy’s coming for you, he snarls.

Smiling over at Nick, Phyllis doesn’t get a chance to say anything before Cane leans in to quietly tell her that they’ll own this town – nothing and no one will stop us.
