Nick’s saved Phyllis from herself many times – he knows what it looks like when she’s standing on the edge and ready to fall. It’s a bad choice going against my family.
Sally left a successful career at Marchetti for Billy, despite everyone warning her against it. What we have is both exciting and safe. It IS enough for me, Billy claims. Sally told Cane that she wouldn’t let him do this.
Adam tells his Dad that Chelsea’s very competative. Maybe we can Billy out of his misery. Once we get this AI off Cane, we should test it on Abbott Communications. Victor agrees – Billy won’t know what hit him – then we turn our sights on Jack.
Sally tells Billy that he’s putting his obsessions before ‘us’ – you’re not listening to me. He wants to give her the world. She doesn’t need the world. Billy wants to go to the top and prove everyone wrong – stand with me while I do that.
Cane’s first assignment is to make amends with Phyllis. You’re my fixer – fix it.
Nick hopes he’s wrong about all of it – that Cane’s working to repair his family (not ruin mine) and that Phyllis is going down the wrong path. I’ll leave you to call Cane and tell him you’re out. Phyllis will work for whoever she pleases. Would you stop Victor from using this AI? Yes, Nick would.
Mike returns to Victor’s office – I’m in. Phyllis has a role in whatever Cane’s planning. He’ll try to keep her out of the fray. Maybe we can kill two birds with one stone, Victor muses.
Sally doesn’t want to hear any more about his plan to have the world at his feet. Not the world, just GC, Billy wants to share his plan.
Nick and Adam chat in the park. Did Phyllis share any info on Cane’s next move? No, but Nick’s convinced she’s playing for the other team.
Mike calls Phyllis (from Victor’s office) He wants to get together to discuss something important.
Billy doesn’t plan to use the AI, he’ll use the threat of cyber warfare against Victor – force him to hand over Chancellor and fund Abbott Communications. He’ll be using Cane to get everything WE want – no risk, all reward. It’s win-win for us.
Dad thinks he’s got Cane backed into a corner. Phyllis wants him to believe that Cane’s focused on his family. She needs to pick a side – the right side. If Phyllis comes after our family, are you OK going after her? Adam wonders.
Mike asks Phyllis to meet him at the park overlook. If I’m not there, assume I’m not coming, she hangs up. What do we do now? Mike asks Victor.
Cane smirks to himself on the train.
