Jack’s home to hear Sally out. She gave up a job she loved but now all she sees is Billy risking everything to get Chancellor back – it’s blinding him and she doesn’t want to be collateral damage. I don’t know how to get through to Billy – it feels like I’m losing him.

Jack’s sorry, but he’s been down this road with Billy before. Does this have anything to do with Cane cancelling the AC launch party? Sally’s not doing damage control – the company’s dead. Diane assumes she’s there to get Jack onboard as an investor. No, Sally’s surprised. She cares about Billy – THAT’S why she’s there. Jack didn’t get any details from Billy after Sally stormed out. It’s illegal – cane wants to keep his hands clean while Billy does the dirty work, she knows he’ll hate her for telling Jack. You might be throwing away your last chance to stop it if you don’t, Jack points out.

When Cane badgers Billy about Jill firing him, Billy orders him to Change the subject – it’s none of your business how I came to accepting your offer. I get Chancellor, you get Newman Enterprises.

Victor reassures Nikki that her company’s not under siege from a ‘secret weapon’. Jack seems to think otherwise. Victor doesn’t give a damn what Jack thinks – there’s nothing to fear. Nikki trusts Victor but doesn’t like being kept in the dark. What is Cane’s plan?

Sally tells Jack about the AI software. Impossible, he sputters. Providing more details, Sally concludes that Cane wants Billy to use it against any company he wants. Including Jabot? Jack looks shocked.

The specifics don’t matter, Victor tells Nikki that Cane must do what he’s ordered him to – or I ruin him. What is the secret weapon? Who has it? she asks. If it’s you, what do you plan to do with it?

Billy can help Cane get Newman Enterprises – let’s do it. Cane can’t. Billy’s hatred for Victor makes him nervous. This is business not personal for him. Acting on sheer emotion makes mistakes. Also, Sally’s a liability – if she feels you chose Chancellor over her, she might talk to the people we’re targeting. Maybe I made a huge mistake bringing you onboard, Cane’s having second thoughts.

Sally can’t see Billy being OK going after Jabot – he only wants Chancellor. But, we might be a target for Cane later on, Jack worries Cane can blackmail Billy. Instead of attacking NE as a company he wants to go after Victor personally, Sally explains – to force him to sign over Chancellor and fund Abbott Communications. Jack didn’t pull the funds. Billy backed out. Sally can’t believe it – Billy lied to get me to go along with his plan? OMG – what have I done? Why did I blow up my life for this?!

Billy lied to me – I should have been smarter, Sally’s in tears and can’t blame Cane for Billy making the bad choices. I told him it was insane – we’d be under cane’s thumb, Or in prison. You made the right call, Jack knows Sally still loves Billy. Of course she does but maybe there’s a chance he’ll listen to YOU, YOU’RE his brother – you have to do something! Jack’s been down this road before – Billy has to sink or swim on his own.

Cane’s still in possession of the secret weapon, it’ll be over soon, Victor tells Nikki. Once he heard Cane had enlisted Billy and Phyllis, he knew he was desperate. It’ll all be over soon, he reassures Nikki.

Billy would bet his life on Sally not being an issue. I’d be the one with blood on my hands. You don’t know me – you’ve been away for six years, amassing your fortune anonymously – in secret – without pressure from family, friends, judgement. Billy’s been here – fighting; he has the scars to prove it. So, forgive me for pushing back on your armchair assessment of my emotional baggage but me taking this personally as a liability – that’s my super power. I can get us what we both want. Give me the software. He assures Cane that Victor Newman will beg for mercy.
