Joining her Mom and grandmother at Society, Claire asks/gets a week off work to go to LA – then corrects their assumption that Kyle’s going with her.

Kyle mopes in Jack’s office that Claire broke up with him. I screwed things up and can’t fix it.

On the patio, Tessa tells Sharon that she’s going to investigate whatever happened when Mariah was on her business trip; it’s the only way she can save her marriage/wife.

Jill’s thrilled to answer a video call, thinking that it’s Billy – then is surprised it’s Sally (who explains that she’s fallen in love with her son)

Tessa won’t be dissuaded by Sharon; who supports her fighting for her marriage but has reservations – what if Mariah sees this as a betrayal? She doesn’t want Tessa to go alone but is shocked to hear that Daniel’s going with her.

Claire’s learned a lot from her parents and grandparents’ relationships and realized that she needs to live before she can truly love. She had to end things with Kyle.

Jack doesn’t seem surprised to hear that Claire wants to ‘find herself’ – she has a case.

Vikki thinks calling things off with Kyle might be impulsive. That’s the point, Claire claims.

Sally tells Jill that Billy got derailed because of what he sees as his mother’s betrayal (and Cane’s) – so, it’s something only you can fix.

Sharon’s relieved to hear that Lucy will be staying with her grandfather – but weeps over what Tessa might find and again worries Mariah will see this as a betrayal. Tessa’s willing to take the risk.

Claire can’t live her life based on the opinions of others. It doesn’t matter what Kyle thinks – he was stunned by the break up but it’s the right call. Arriving in time to overhear, Diance marches over to lecture Claire for breaking her son’s heart.

Jack reminds Kyle that Claire lived a closeted life – she needs time to know her own heart. You’re right, Kyle may have underestimated the impact of that – but that doesn’t make it hurt any less. Jack’s sorry ~hug~

Sally tells Jill that Billy’s obsessed with proving himself to her (and getting Chancellor back) She can tell by the way Jill answered when thinking it was Billy – that she’s contrite and loves him.

Vikki and Nikki tells Diane to stay out of this. Kyle did wrong things for the right reasons. Claire’s doing this because she doesn’t know how to love him back – that’s not fair to either of us.
