Sure that he’ll meet up with them in California, Nick tells Sharon to go have a great time with Noah. Something’s going on with him, she comments again.
Does phase two involve your truce with Jack? Vikki impresses her Dad by quoting The Art of War. Victor only wants Jack to THINK that they’re working together.
Victor and I agreed to approach Jill separately, Jack explains that they’ll both try to convince her of how dangerous Cane’s plan is. Diane hates to think that she’d go along with a plan that decimates all their companies. Jack knows that she loved his father and loved being an Abbott (which is still the name she goes by) He’s confident that she won’t let Cane sink Chancellor or Jabot.
Kyle must have forgotten that he was supposed to meet me here, Diane worries that their son believes they’re taking Claire’s side – then annoyed when Jack points out that he was the one who messed up. ‘You sound so cold’.
You can’t control yourself around me – and hate me for it, Audra tells Kyle that he’s spoiled rotten and can’t accept how much he wants her. You made our kiss sound innocent – but did you tell Claire how long it lasted? That it was on your bed? We both know how close you were to taking things beyond that kiss, she inches closer.
Nick reminds his Dad that he’s going to visit Noah (who needs his advice) We’re about to embark on a full-out war with Cane Ashby, Victor announces – every move we make going forward is ‘crucial’.
Back at Jabot, Jack’s not being cold, he’s being realistic. He gently scolds Diane for ‘coddling’ Kyle (Mrs Martinez is making his favourite dinner tonight) She second guesses their ‘tough love’ approach and worries that Kyle will lash out at Claire and Holden.
Reminded that Claire’s on a trip with Holden, Kyle retaliates by saying that Nate thanked him for exposing Audra (for the vile creature she is) Audra has the last word.[To paraphrase] You’ll always be a player whose relationships with women like Claire and Summer don’t last because you find women like ME more alluring. When are you going to accept the kind of man you really are!? she drops the mic. and leaves Kyle shaken.
Has Mom signed off on this (Victor using Jack for his plan)? Nick and Vikki know she won’t like Jack being hurt. She’s part of this family and CEO of Chancellor, Victor knows that those are her priorities. His priority is to show Cane that his threats are very serious (by exposing the dirt he has on Collin)
Jack likes to believe that Kyle has his head screwed on straight and that he can control his impulses. Hearing that Diane ‘almost came to blows with Audra’ herself, Jack asks her to show restraint. Kyle marches in to say that he’s back on his feet and ready to fight.
Serving Audra, Sharon seems almost friendly when reporting that she’s going to see Noah – he might be opening up a club in LA and has a full life with Ally. They’re head over heels in love.
Jack and Diane don’t want Kyle’s anger to get the better of him. He won’t sit around and wait (while Holden works on Claire) he’s going to LA to do whatever it takes to win her back.
Victor gives Nick his assignment – as soon as Adam’s plan hits the ground, he’s to be told to be ready for his part – and to inform the IT department to be on guard (both of which Nick could easily cross off his to-do list by making a couple of phone calls, or by sending a couple of texts that say ‘be ready’. He could fire them off while the Newman jet taxis down the runway) We’ll soon find out if Cane’s AI program is real – Victor believes that things will start quickly – and soon. Cane Ashby doesn’t know what he’s up against. Da da da dunnnnn.
