Since Kyle won’t be dissuaded, his parents ask him not to cross the line. Harrison suddenly runs into his Dad’s arms, begging him not to leave.
Hearing that Sally asked Jill to invest in Abbott Communications, Billy orders her to rescind the offer. Jill wouldn’t have agreed if she didn’t think AC was a solid investment, and Sally did NOT beg. Billy refuses to be at his Mother’s mercy.
While Diane goes to get a glass of milk and Jack goes to get a book, Harrison tells his Dad about his bad dream. Claire’s fine, Kyle assures – he’s going to see her.
After Claire goes to the restroom, Sienna reappears to hope she didn’t scare the little lady off. You know Audra’s name, he again insists that he and Claire are just friends. Sienna thinks Claire looks too innocent for Holden’s taste. She’s savvy – like you, Holden replies. You outta know, Sienna quips.
You’re being paranoid, Sally relays that Jill’s only caveat was Billy not being told that she’s investing. It’s her way of making amends, Sally’s sure. Don’t you worry she’ll pull the funding because you told me? Billy asks. No, Sally won’t build their relationship or their company on a lie. We need to be honest – no secrets. Billy gets the feeling this is a test.
You still with Mitch? Holden asks. Sienna will tell her ‘partners for life’ that Holden said ‘hi’. Claire hopes she’s not interrupting. Don’t take crap or find yourself under anyone’s thumb, Sienna advises Claire in parting. She’s a real fireball, Holden comments. You’re a man of many mysteries and Claire’s looking forward to getting to the bottom of every one.
Kyle can’t take Harrison with him – you have school and a halloween costume to make. You and Claire are still moving in together, right?? Harrison chirps.

Back in the jazz lounge, Sally decides that if this is a test, she passed (by confiding in Billy) So you want to go it alone or with me, together? Sally reminds Billy that he went behind her back and told Jack to pull the funding. Does your confiding in me mean you trust me again? Billy hopes. Yes, Sally does – now you need to trust me. Billy needs more convincing – Jill would have to be a silent partner. Don’t let your anger stop you from going ahead with this, Sally implores. Billy needs to talk to her directly to see if she’s investing for the right reason. Sally objects – you could blow it all up – please don’t make me sorry I trusted you.
