It breaks Tessa’s heart to see Mariah so lost – I’m going to get you out of here and bring you home.
Explaining their tragic history of kids and car accidents, Nick and Sharon are horrified to hear that Noah might have seizures or have irreversible brain damage if they don’t keep him comatose while reducing the swelling. Do whatever it takes to save our son, Nick thanks the doctor through tears. A nurse hands Sharon a bag with his personal effects, including the watch they gave Noah for graduation. Give our son the strength he needs to get through this – we can’t lose him, Nick prays aloud.
We’ll make it through this, Nick assures Sharon before stepping into the hallway to update the family that Noah has swelling on the brain – and will be induced into a coma. Asked to bring in the best brain surgeon in the world, Victor agrees – consider it done. Worried about how much more Sharon can take, Nick watches her through the window.
This is part of the process, Mariah must dig down deep into what brought her here in order to get to the other side, and she must do it alone. You shouldn’t visit me again – and, as Mariah stands to leave, Tessa takes her hand.
We’re planning a future you can’t even begin to imagine, Chris gushes. Or stomach, Phyllis quips. Danny and Chris are there for each other – ‘as long as we both shall live’, they recite and kiss.
Bravo – you put on a better show than Danny does on stage. Having seen enough of their tired performance, Phyllis leaves Danny in awe of the way Chris handled Phyllis. We’re happy, more in love than ever and will have the most amazing wedding ever ~kiss~
Tessa cries as she clings to Mariah (who looks glum but dry-eyed)
Vikki doesn’t have a good feeling. When Nikki wishes someone in the family was in LA, Vikki will text Claire. Nikki can’t believe this is happening – Nick and Sharon were never the same after losing Cassie – they couldn’t come back from losing Noah.
Sharon reminisces about Noah and Cassie’s sibling love for one another; we were so happy, so full of joy and hope. Look at us now – we lost Cassie – we’re no longer married – Noah … Nick tells her not to give up hope. Both are surprised when an investigator arrives. The police suspect foul play!?? That remains to be seen.
Phyllis is jealous of what we have, Chris and Danny agree. Forget about her – let’s talk about you and me. We’re built to last (a slogan that would look great on a billboard that Phyllis will have to drive by) Both look forward to being man and wife.
A dry-eyed Mariah leaves Tessa to sob alone and rip the Queen of hearts in half.
Vikki and Nikki talk about how hard it is to lose a loved one. Vikki couldn’t bare another funeral. We haven’t lost Noah, Nikki believes it’s only a matter of time before he’s leading his charmed life again.
We’ve only started gathering evidence, but, the investigator spoke to a witness – it appeared another vehicle may have run your son off the road and kept going.
