Jack’s glad Vikki’s downstairs enjoying herself after losing Cole. We’re leaning on each other and stronger for it, Nate says. Jack knows Abby’s fantastic – but how does Devon like having the Mustache as a father in law? It was tense after Victor forced Lily out of Chancellor, Devon admits – but he loves Abby. To Danny and Christine! all toast.

Downstairs, the ladies are making a similar toast and discussing the wonders of love. Hopefully, Phyllis finds true love soon so she’ll butt out of my otherwise blissfully happy life, Chris comments. Across the room, Lauren tells Phyllis that she’s better than this. Phyllis rants about Chris stealing Danny – and Daniel. She’s vicious and cruel – throwing her happiness in my face. Chris comes over to twist the knife – you hate me because you’ll never have what I have. When was the last time someone looked at you the way Danny looks at me? You’re too crazy to find real love. When Phyllis lunges, Lauren grabs her. What are you thinking!?

Don’t call me crazy! Phyllis shouts – If you say crazy one more time…. Chris is sorry she hit a nerve. But, let’s be honest – you causing trouble down here seems a bit unhinged. Phyllis doesn’t need to be walked out – she’s glad to leave this loser party to celebrate your pathetic marriage with your five friends – five! Good luck chasing Danny as he tries to escape you on every continent.

Marching upstairs, Phyllis can’t ignore the fact that the most undeserving woman in the world is ‘marrying the father of my son!’ Your fiance said horrific things to me just now! Which you brought on yourself, Mike points out. She went too far! Phyllis stomps upstairs. Jack tells Mike not to go after her – there’s no getting through to Phyllis when she’s like this.

This has been a lovely celebration – don’t let Phyllis upset you, Traci advises Chris (but she does feel sorry for Phyllis. Look what she’s been through – kidnapped and mentally tortured) Vikki sympathizes but attacking Chris is uncalled for. When the men all come down, Danny updates that Phyllis came through the dining room on a tear. Jack suggests they merge the parties and make a real night of it. Here here! We won’t let anything else get us down! Mike bellows. When the lights suddenly go out, all scream in frustration ‘Phyllis!’

Danny has an idea to keep the party going – I’ll be right back. Why are the lights out? Did you do this? he asks Phyllis when he runs into her upstairs. Nate reports that the power’s out due to construction – they’re working on it. Sending Nate back to the lounge, Danny tries to calm Phyllis down. Chris called me crazy — she’s right. I went crazy in that cell with Sharon! she admits. Holding hands, Phyllis swears she’s moved on and wants him to be happy – she’ll never like Chris but considers Danny the best father, the best ex husband. I want nothing but the best for you. I’ll be happy for YOU. He’s going to get his guitar to serenade the group – come join us, he invites. Declining, Phyllis is left to cry alone.

In the dimly lit lounge, Chris admits to saying some things to Phyllis that she’s not proud of. How are you? How’s Dom? (after losing Chance) Devon’s been a great comfort for both of us, Abby replies.

Devon asks how Nate and Vikki ended up here together? Nate’s been a good friend since Cole died – he’s helped me and Claire a lot, Vikki explains.

As the party-goers gripe about Phyllis, Danny returns with his guitar. But first, all gather around the piano; Chris sits beside Danny. All are singing merrily as Phyllis listens from the staircase briefly before going upstairs. The song over, all applaud, then applaud some more when the lights come on. And when Danny and Chris kiss? Guess what – more applause.
