Sienna’s leaving her third urgent message for Mitch (you were supposed to be back – something’s happened – it’s important) when Kyle walks into The Shadow Room.
Do I know you? Sienna asks. I’m Kyle Abbott from GC, Wisconsin. You people keep coming out of the woodwork, she comments. Kyle sits to ask about Holden Novak – who he’s trying to keep away from the woman he loves.
Holden shifts his chair closer to Claire – he’s loved every minute of having her in LA and wants her to stay – but it might not be right for her. Claire wonders if Holden encouraging her to go back to GC has anything to do with his ‘argument’ with Sienna.
Cane’s still expecting Phyllis to help him restore his image. Now seemingly convinced that she didn’t steal his AI program, he wants her to hack into Newmans’ system to see if they have it. This is another loyalty test, Phyllis guesses he wants her to steal it back from Victor.
Still concerned about Audra, Billy (yet again) thinks Sally should tell Jill before she finds out for herself. Sally (yet again) wonders if he still thinks about taking Chancellor back from Victor. Billy won’t do anything to risk losing Sally again ~kiss~ Audra arrives all smiles – is everyone excited about the relaunch and ready to get back to work?
Is this another one of your tests? Phyllis can see that Cane’s very ‘rattled’ that someone ‘stole’ from him. Yes – Cane’s got a team working to prove that Collin’s inheritance was legit; he needs Phyllis to work on getting his property back while he distracts Victor. Have I ever let you down before? she asks.
Assuming that Kyle’s talking about Claire, Sienna has nothing nasty to tell him about Holden (and wouldn’t tell Kyle if she did) Claire seemed to be having a good time with Holden; they were ‘vibing’. If it’s any consolation, he’ll get bored and move on; he’s not the ‘relationship kind’. Maybe Claire isn’t either, Sienna can see that Kyle’s desperately in love with her – but, she’s moved on. Fine, maybe we can talk about someone else, Kyle suggests; Audra Charles.
Joining Sally and Billy, Audra’s been working hard on her list of ideas for the launch. Maybe I should get some clarity on my role at Abbott Communications now that Billy’s back. Sally needs to run all new hires by her secret investor (before finalizing Audra’s contract)
What trouble did you and Audra get into? Claire couldn’t leave Holden to deal with it on his own. He wants to let it go – what happened with Audra is in the past; he’s moved on. Claire can read people really well – you’re keeping something from me. I want to help, she repeats. Tell me – or should I go ask Sienna?
OK, Holden does have one major problem – he’s trying to decide where to take Claire next – he and Sienna were having a ‘spirited discussion’ about which food truck serves the best tacos. Claire doubts that. Truth is, Sienna knows little about me and less about Audra, Holden doesn’t think it takes great insight to know that Audra’s trouble – everyone knows that.
Audra understands – how about she present her ideas to this investor? The investor wants to remain anonymous, Sally explains. They don’t even want me to know their identity, Billy’s not exactly lying. Sally ‘promises’ Audra that it’ll work out.
With work to tend to, Sienna thinks Kyle should cut his losses and head back to GC. He will – as soon as she gives him something to put Audra in her place; there’s clearly bad blood between you two. He only wants to keep Claire safe – by keeping her away from Holden and shielding her from Audra. Sienna will think about it – come back later tonight.
Cane knew he could count on Phyllis – he’ll be in touch about their next move. She’ll be ready and waiting. In the hallway, Cane makes a call – keep an eye on Phyllis Summers; I need to know every move she makes. In her suite, Phyllis sends Victor a text – We need to meet. Urgent.
