Nick rushes to Noah’s bedside to say how much he’s missed him. I missed you too, Noah replies weakly.
Years ago, Holden was bartending at the Shadow Room. Audra was a regular. Flashback to her coming to the bar with a man who orders ‘top shelf’ booze and talks about putting her art in his gallery. They clink champagne flutes – to the artist – and our patron.
What can I do for you detective? Mitch asks. What’s the plan!? Detective Burrow is agitated. When Sienna comes out for introductions, she tells him that he’s not the only one to come asking questions (about Noah)
Nick cracks Dad-jokes as Noah fusses with his bandages and grumbles about no one telling him what happened.
Told that he had a car accident, Noah asks if anyone else was hurt and is surprised to hear he was an induced coma. Am I in London? GC? LA? He’s so sorry they all had to come so far. ‘I love you’s are exchanged.
Noah’s parents have questions about that night too, Sienna explains that he left the bar around midnight. The detective and Mitch both want to know why she called Noah.
The doctor is updating Nikki and Vikki when Sharon comes out to worry about Noah’s memory. Today is a good day, the doctor leaves the three ladies to chat. Nikki sends them ahead to see Noah (she wants to call Victor with the good news)
Flashback to the gallery owner starting to get handsy with Audra. When Holden intercedes, he stands to jab a finger in Holden’s chest; I’ll have Mitch fire your ass! It was ‘touch and go’, Holden tells Claire that Audra did something that almost ruined both their lives.
As the four Newmans surround Noah’s bedside, a nurse comes in to announce that Noah has a CT scan. Nick throws out some more Dad jokes. We’ll all be waiting for you, he has a few things to take care of (looking pointedly at Sharon)
Go back to wiping the bar, Holden was ordered (by the drunk patron) Audra took the guys wallet and left. No, he didn’t try to stop her – I let her walk away. Were you friends? Claire asks. Holden was used to watching guys trying to get women drunk – this guy was a control freak. ‘No good deed and all that’. The guy noticed that Audra had gone and went after her. Then, all hell broke loose.
You called Noah because you were worried about him leaving your bar drunk? Detective Burrow asks. Mitch didn’t even know Sienna had Noah’s number. Of course she does – we both do – you wanted to go into business with him, she reminds. When Burrow asks what time she left the club, Sienna’s indignant – are you accusing me of having something to do with Noah’s crash?!
