In a suite at the club, Lauren’s preparing the ‘gorgeous’ bride to be. Danny’s kind, loving, funny, Chris gushes – as of today, I’ll officially be Christine Romalotti.
Mike, Daniel and Danny are downstairs overseeing the decor. Too bad Lucy has the flu. Phyllis bounces in to suggest she’s just allergic to Danny’s bug-to-be.
Danny implores Phyllis for one ‘snark-free day’. As Mike agrees, Daniel takes his Mom aside to warn her not to ruin his Dad and Chris’ big day. Gina then arrives to greet her brother.
Upstairs, Chris gets a text from Pietro – the wedding planner is sick so won’t be there to supervise. Nothing could make this day better, Chris assures Lauren – then stands corrected when Nina arrives for weepy hugs.
As Chris, Nina and Lauren bask in happiness, Daniel sends his Mom upstairs to her room – this is the last time he wants to see her today.
Sorry to hear that Lucy’s sick, Gina will make her some soup. Faking a cough, Daniel’s heard that lasagna’s good for the flu – maybe two trays.
Back in the bridal suite, Nina and Lauren offer something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. When a bouquet of flowers is delivered, Chris immediately starts sneezing.
Introduced to Tessa, Gina’s thrilled to hear that she and Daniel did a song for the occasion. She then greets her old friend Amy. Nate comments that a seat at Danny Romalotti’s wedding is nothing to sneeze at.
Upstairs, Chris throws the flowers into the hallway – I’m allergic to Mums. All assume that Phyllis sent them.
Ester, Traci and Diane arrive (Jack’s home sick too) As Abby and Devon arrive, Daniel hopes this isn’t all too much for Tessa. She won’t miss singing got a rock star and the world’s best attorney.
Danny and Gina aren’t thrilled when Phyllis comes back downstairs to say that she lives here, I can come and go as I please. Not today you can’t, Gina warns. Watching from across the room, Mike and Traci agree – that doesn’t look good.
With Chris starting to itch and welt, Lauren’s off for antihistamene, while Nina shouts affirmations as she runs the shower, then hurries the bride in before she starts to scratch.
If you ruin this day, I swear…. Do not engage, Danny’s got this. My family and friends are on edge because you have to make everything about you. Lauren comes down to lead Phyllis aside – it wasn’t me, she denies sending the flowers.
