At the ranch with Devon, Abby recites their busy itinerary; drinks with the Newmans, dinner with the Winters and dessert with the Abbotts (causing Victor’s eyes to roll) When Vikki lets Nate in, Nikki gives Victor a cautionary look.
Lily and Amy are at CL’s with Ester for the annual feeding of the poor people. Both ladies are determined to make the best of the holiday and make new traditions with their new family. We have to honour the past and let everything else go. On cue, Cane arrives.
Please stay, Harrison pleads with Claire – saying what you’re thankful for is what makes it Thanksgiving. He then runs to the door to greet Ashley. Jack couldn’t be happier to have the family all together.
Nate hands out his gifts; tea for Nikki, tequila for Victor. Vikki takes him aside to pour him a drink – here’s to gratitude, they clink glasses. Now that Nate has a drink, Victor wants a word.
Jack has every faith in Sally taking AC to great heights – he’s happy that she decided to spend Thanksgiving with them and hopes Claire will stay too – we’d love to have you.
Assuming he’s the last person Amy wants to see, Cane will leave them to it – then accepts her ‘gracious’ invitation to stay. Lily tosses him an apron – you can help like you used to. Let’s do it, Cane agrees – as Phyllis arrives to watch from the patio.
If this is about the past, Nate only meant to help Victor, not undermine him. He regrets the rift and would like to mend that. Victor knows Nate to be a man of compassion and loyalty. He appreciates him supporting Vikki and Claire. Happy Thanksgiving, they shake hands.
‘You’re impossible’, a smile tugs at Lily’s lips as she ties Cane’s apron. We’re not open today, Ester tells Phyllis as she breezes in – not for coffee but to volunteer. We don’t have any more aprons, Ester is NOT thankful for the offer. Lily hands her apron to Phyllis – I’ll be back. So much for cutting the cord and moving on, Phyllis knows Cane came to impress Lily.
Claire agrees to stay a bit longer – to hear what Harrison’s thankful for. As he runs to make room for her at the table, Kyle thanks Claire. She’s happy to do it. As all file into the dining room, Ashley’s siblings gather to fuss over her. She’s assures that she’s OK; working and going to therapy in Paris ~group hug~
At the head of the table, Jack kicks off the traditional ‘what are you thankful for’. Going first, Ashley tears up – she’s grateful to be ‘home’. Also dewy-eyed, Diane’s grateful to finally feel like a member of this family; she appreciates the kindness/forgiveness and is grateful for her husband. Billy gives a shout out to the ‘legendary’ John; he’s thankful for his kids. He ‘butts heads’ with his brother and sisters, but our love is unbreakable. Finally, he’s thankful for Sally’s love and support ~kiss~ All raise a glass.
The Newmans are echoing the same sentiments. Victor speaks of love and family. Those we lost live on in our hearts. Victor will never take for granted what he and Nikki have created. A lot of people are struggling – we have each other – Happy Thanksgiving. Nikki mentions Summer, Nick and Noah – may they be home soon, safe and sound.
