Nick and Sharon come out of the warehouse horrified by the ‘unimaginable’ things they’ve seen (and smelled) those poor people; the empty looks in their eyes – and the rats! No one recognized the photo they showed around of Noah. Burrow and Annie come out to report having no luck either.
Noah wakes up from a nap on the floor of the storage room to lament having no food or water (or windows) Cold, Sienna leans up against him for warmth.
Burrow suspects Bacall’s holding Noah somewhere else as a bargaining chip. He’ll have a meeting with him. No, he doesn’t think Mitch isn’t on to him (he thinks I’m a dirty cop)
Victor knocks on Nick’s hotel room door – are you there?
Trying the door again, Sienna can’t believe Mitch would do this and that he’s Matt Clark, who has a decades old vendetta against Noah’s parents – I really thought I knew him, that we were a team. Neither have regrets about getting involved but Sienna knows Noah feels guilty about Ally (and so does she) He hopes he gets the chance to tell her how sorry he is. Matt ran me off the road, Noah knows Mitch is capable of murder.
At the Shadow Room, Matt hopes Burrow’s been busy playing emotional support cop to Nick and Sharon – he’s happy that they buy that he’s under-cover as a dirty cop. It went exactly as you hoped – you outdid yourself. Nick and Sharon think you sent them on a wild goose-chase. Is there a long game you’re playing? Hell yeah, Matt wants to put them through hell.
Getting no cell service, Nick and Sharon are about to leave the alley when a druggie comes along to say he might have seen their boy – for the right price. Nick pulls the baggie out but when Sharon balks, offers him a couple hundred bucks instead.
The last thing Noah recalls is Burrow driving him to the crash sight to ‘jog his memory’. Burrow questioned Sienna, she adds that Mitch hasn’t done anything illegal or been violent with her.
I saw your boy – he was strung out, the druggie claims. He couldn’t keep his eyes open. Did you see him leave? Was he alone? Sharon asks. Nick begs – help us find our son.
Matt wants details – was Sharon crying? Was Nick beating his chest? No, Sharon held it together – that woman’s fierce, Burrow disappoints Matt (for not taking a photo) Burrow’s cover is solid – he even called in backup. The druggie Matt hired will tell the Newmans that their son’s strung out. This is even better than Noah dying in the ‘accident’. What have they done to you? Burrows asks. Without explaining, Mitch thinks they have everything they have coming. Victor walks in; I’ll be damned, Matt Clark.
