Where have you been?? Diane’s eager for news. Jack went to get proof that Victor has the AI program – from the unlikeliest of sources.
Phyllis bounces down the stairs to approach Cane as he mopes at the bar. Cane Ashby’s yesterday’s news – Aristotle is the present and future, she thinks he should share it with the world ‘or just with me’. Cane wants her to stay away from him – for good.
Excuse me, miss, you dropped this, Holden didn’t know the woman he chased onto the patio (who dropped a glove) was Audra. When she goes off about Claire, he suggests she be quiet for once – he hasn’t told Claire everything that happened in LA – yet.
Billy comes home to find Sally waiting for him with snacks. Being completely honest, he thinks she’s trying to convince herself that things are perfect, while waiting for him to screw up. Yes, she’s terrified it could all disappear ‘like that’.
On the patio, Holden asks Audra to calm down for two minutes – he’s sick of hiding the truth. You killed a man and dumped him in an unmarked grave, Audra points out that if she goes down, so does Holden. It was an accident, he reminds. You saved my life but I can see you regret it, she concludes.
Jack tells Diane that Cane’s devastated over losing Lily – he offered him money and vindication in return for proof that Victor’s using the AI program.
Phyllis won’t leave Cane alone – I’m the only friend you have. You may hate Aristotle but I appreciate him; he’s a badass. His company is dead and so’s he, Cane snaps. Phyllis brings up the kiss – what’s changed since the last time I saw you?
Billy heard Sally talking to Vikki over Christmas, about her concerns that he won’t be able to maintain this new and improved version of himself. I love you but don’t take my word for it (that I won’t crash and burn) Billy vows to prove it to Sally, every day ~kiss~
Sally wishes she and her enlightened boyfriend had this conversation ages ago. The thought of not being with him brings her to tears. His honesty and commitment are sexy to her.
Audra’s sorry she put up walls and didn’t treat Holden well when he first came to town – she misses their friendship.
Cane’s ego’s taken a hit – he wants to prove himself to the world (as well as Lily and the kids) Jack and Diane are chatting when Kyle comes in to announce that they have their counter move – the ultimate bargaining chip.
Audra had to push Holden away because people were beginning to get suspicious of their connection. He can’t be friends with her because of the way she treats Claire. Why are you trying so hard to score points with her? Audra wonders – does she mean so much to you? And I so little?
Sally and Billy make out in bed.
