Claire and I are still friends – we’re both still in your life, Kyle reassures Harrison. No, they’re not mad but he shouldn’t trick people with fake emergencies. This is what happened with you and Mom, Harrison wishes his Dad and Claire were a couple again.
Kyle and Claire have a heart to heart with Harrison – we’re both here for you (but have been busy with work) Claire ends her hug with Harrison to read a text from Holden. Can we meet? She puts her phone away without answering but lies – my Mom needs to see me. Walking her out, Kyle’s sorry about what’s going on at Newman.
Trust me, Victor reassures. Asking how far he’d go, Vikki annoyed when Adam arrives (and she’s dismissed, for her own good)
Yes, Sienna’s fine with Noah running the Shadow Room. He might want to stay in GC and run the club remotely (like London) Mike reported that Victor turned Matt over to the police – he won’t be able to beat the charges. Nick has a hard time believing it’s over – he and Sharon know ‘you can never underestimate Matt Clark’.
Victoria’s been through so much, Kyle symathizes with her – but hopes Victor turned his lesson. Nikki and Jack’s friendship has endured and is something to aspire to. He apologizes for Harrison’s attempt at match-making. He’s smart, kind and sweet, like his Dad, Claire’s not surprised at how well they ‘matched’ in Harrison’s quiz.
You’re married to the most exasperating person that’s ever existed, Victoria joins her Mom at Society to say that Dad has a plan but won’t tell us – he’s chosen to confide in someone without a moral compass. Why Adam? Nikki believes her Dad’s protecting her from a nasty war.
Victoria didn’t seem too pleased, Adam comments. Asked to find Lily and the kids, he reminds his Dad that Victoria just spoke to her. What’s the plan? You don’t plan to put them in harms’ way, do you?
Christian’s a foot taller, Noah thinks his parents need someone to keep them company (with Faith being at school) He hopes Summer and Mariah will come home soon. Sienna appreciates the Newmans generosity – you’ve raised an incredible son. It’s time I went back to LA.
You want to move back to LA? There’s nothing left for you there, Noah wants Sienna to give GC a chance. It’s a big ask, Nick and Sharon are quick to point out. Sienna thanks them for understanding – she doesn’t want to hurt Noah but she has to go back to LA. Then, so is Noah. Sharon gives Nick a panicked look.
Kyle thanks Claire for rushing over – it helped Harrison process his feelings. Claire declares him a good Dad. If you need anything, they exchange an awkward goodbye. Kyle closes the door and looks depressed. Are you OK? Harrison asks. Claire seems about to go back inside but changes her mind.
No, Kyle’s not mad – his answer to Harrison’s last question; when he’s not at work his favourite thing is to hang out with Harrison. Yes, he misses Claire too.
Nikki doesn’t like being kept in the dark but understands Victor wanting them to keep their hands clean. I can play hard ball, Victoria pouts. No, Nikki’s NOT OK with Adam being the ‘fixer’ – this could get a lot worse.
Victor would never put Lily or her family in harms way – but, Cane doesn’t know that, so they’re a helluva bargaining chip. We must make him think they’re in danger so he’ll come back to the bargaining table.
My Thoughts: It’s pretty rich (pun intended) to hear Victoria whine to her father that they’re ‘losing millions’ while they’re wallowing in misery of their own making. What about the hundreds of employees whose livelihoods are in limbo while their bosses move their ‘assets’ to offshore accounts – and, in the case of Jabot, willingly take their company ‘offline’. It’s downright insulting for the Newmans and Abbotts to be constantly lounging around the GCAC, Society and/or CL’s crying ‘poor us’ as they continue to consume every meal, every cup of coffee somewhere other than their own home. I mean, surely we viewers can’t be expected to feel sorry for any of these entitled, self-absorbed whiners. I’d be happy to see every last one of them go bankrupt. There’s absolutely no one to root for. Even those who don’t actually ‘work’ feel they’re entitled to a job (looking at you Phyllis, Audra and Holden) … And, sure, Sharon’s not wrong about Phyllis – but who is SHE to be commenting on anyone’s ’emotional issues’? … I get Kyle reacting to ‘an emergency at home’ but if Claire was summoned ‘home’ for an emergency, why wouldn’t she go to the tackhouse or any of the other numerous homes on the Newman compound before racing over to the Abbotts? Also, with two of GC’s biggest businesses being in utter turmoil, why aren’t there any reporters chasing the Newmans and Abbotts around for comment? Even Abbott Communications’ CEO is so focused on her relationship drama she can’t be bothered to work on this story. If Audra was half the business woman she pretends to be, she’d be serving herself up as an anonymous source to any platform who’ll have her, or, better yet, start her own blog. Any idiot can do it (source: myself)
