Ian was there – a vision, a ghost or hallucination. No, Mariah didn’t tell her doctors. I was lonely, she cries – I needed someone to talk to. Is he here now? Sharon asks. Mariah explains that Ian told her to go back to where things went wrong – that raising Dom was the answer to everything. I don’t know how to live with what I’ve done. Sharon’s supportive – you just need the right team of doctors – the people who love you will help you heal. On cue, Tessa arrives.
After Chris leaves, Tessa asks Sharon if she can speak to Mariah privately. You must hate me, Mariah sniffles. No, Tessa hates what she’s been through – and that she couldn’t help her wife. How’s Aria? She’s perfect, Tessa cries – kind and loving, strong. Just like her Mom, Mariah praises. Like her ‘Moms’, Tessa corrects. How are you? Mariah asks if Daniel’s been watching out for her like she asked.
Danny and Daniel talk about him being in a better place than when he lost Heather. You’re worried I’ll fall apart if Tessa goes back to Mariah, Daniel assures his Dad that he’ll be OK.
Back at the estate, Devon finds it odd that Lily’s been out of touch – she doesn’t know what’s happening with Dom or Cane. Abby hopes she’s having a stress-free vacation with the kids. She can’t help but be angry at Mariah; she made our little boy call her Mommy! ~hug~
My Mom told me about the divorce, Mariah wants Tessa to move on. Tessa’s in tears – you need me but keep pushing me away. She knows Mariah’s hurting – but I’m hurting too. You don’t need to push me away – I’m leaving, Tessa leaves Mariah to weep alone.
Chris arrives as Danny’s telling Daniel about their honeymoon in Paris. Mariah’s out on bail, she report; Tessa’s at CL’s with her now. How’d Tessa seem? Daniel quickly adds ‘and Mariah’? He decides to go find out for himself.
Any empathy Abby had for Mariah has evaporated – she’s worried about Dom. He’ll grow up healthy and happy, Devon promises. With I love you’s, he goes to answer the door. It’s Sharon and Mariah.
This one’s a heart-breaker – Mariah needs help, Chris tells Danny. No one feels she’s a danger to herself or anyone else so she’s been released into Sharon’s custody. Danny worries about his son – Daniel’s fallen in love with Tessa.
In front of Society, Tessa cries in Daniel’s arms. I don’t know what to do. We’ll figure it out together, he consoles.
Abby’s alarmed when Sharon says that Mariah’s been released into her care. She wanted to speak to you both. Abby doesn’t want Dom to see or hear her. Devon agrees – it’s not the time to do this. Mariah had to come, to apologize. I made a horrible mistake. It wasn’t one mistake, Abby points out – it was many. You could have called us. Mariah’s so sorry; Dom was never in danger. He’s the sweetest little boy. She hopes that one day they can forgive her. You came here to ask for forgiveness? Abby’s furious. You made my son call you Mommy! I never want you around my son ever again!
My Thoughts: What the hell was Sharon thinking? It’s rude to drop by someone’s house unannounced and uninvited, never mind late at night, never mind with the woman who just kidnapped their son! As a therapist, it shows extremely bad judgement and total disregard for the emotional impact this impromptu visit might have on Abby, Dom – or Mariah herself… How can Mariah not be considered a flight risk? She was just caught trying to flee the country…. And how can she say Dom was ‘never in danger’? He was in danger of never seeing his parents again… I pray to Saint Valentine, the patron saint of beekeepers and epilepsy (it’s true, look it up) – please don’t drag out this Daniel/Tessa/Mariah love triangle for too long. Tessa and Mariah used to be one of my favourite couples – but Mariah needs to go away for a while, hopefully to a mental care facility. If she goes to the one that rehabilitated Claire in the time it takes me to recover from the common cold, she should be out by Easter….
