Phyllis is basking in the glory of her new office when Lauren comes by – not to read her the riot act, but to praise her.

Billy’s also talking to himself in his new office before taking a seat behind his desk – Chancellor is mine and mine alone. Sally appears – looks like you’re back where you belong. Does this mean you’ve had a change of heart? he hopes.

Impressed that Sharon remembered her favourite peppermint hot chocolate, Victoria asks where Nick is – did he mention me asking him to fly to Milan? Nick’s focus is Matt – and he hasn’t even recovered from his last run in with him! Sharon frets.5

Outside CL’s, Nick scowls at his baggie of pills before taking one of the three out and scowling even harder.

No, Sally hasn’t changed her mind – she’s there to tell Billy that she hired Audra as her co-CEO. Jill OK’d it. She’s also changed the name to Spectra Charles Media. Billy doesn’t want a professional agreement to ruin their relationship. Have dinner with me.

Lauren’s not joking – you knocked Victor off his throne; you should be commended for the sheer audacity of pulling it off. Really? You might be the only one; Phyllis will take ‘neutral’ over outrage. Both hope Summer and Daniel will forgive her one day. What about Nick? You must have some remorse.

Sharon tells Victoria that she worries about Nick becoming dependent on his meds – the pain comes back so quickly after they wear off. His focus is on Matt, not taking care of himself.

After an inner struggle, Nick throws the pill in the snow, then quickly picks it up to wash it down with water.

Pulling her hand away, Sally doesn’t want to go backwards. Just one dinner – your favourite filet mignon, Billy implores. Sally finally agrees but don’t expect to change my mind, she leaves.

Of course Sharon’s team Nick – why can’t anyone be team Phyllis? My kids are being brainwashed by Newman propaganda. No, Mike hasn’t gotten to Lauren. Let’s go out for breakfast.

When Victoria whines about Phyllis, Sharon thinks she’s experiencing pain and regret. When Nick enters the patio, Sharon leaves him to try talking his sister out of going to Milan. Please, don’t get Summer involved.

Nick regrets putting Summer in the middle by telling her what Phyllis had done. Sharon returns to suggest that Phyllis might soften on her own. Victoria doesn’t want to see their father escalate things with Lily to force Cane’s hand.
