Phyllis guesses that Nikki asked Victor to let her bestie (Jack) go and he refused. Or, he kicked you out because you chose Jack over him. Did he throw you out with the clothes on your back? (which is more than when he took you in) Nobody will give a damn when you crash and burn, Nikki sneers. Phyllis gets a call from Victor (summoning her to the ranch) When Claire arrives, Nikki admits ‘no, I’m not OK’.
Billy’s now in with Jack – what the hell were you thinking? In the hallway, Diane rants at Kyle (who’s so sorry she had to walk in on that) but we can’t leave Dad here. Jack tells Billy that he was drugged. Patty’s locked herself in a stateroom. Jack’s embarrassed. Believing Victor’s behind this, Jack will make him pay with flesh and blood if it’s the last thing he does!
What would you do if you couldn’t reach Katie or Johnny? Cane asks Victoria – for a couple of hours, never mind weeks?? That’s enough, badgering her won’t help, Nate scolds. After Victoria leaves, Cane objects; are you really going to let her off the hook like that? You saw the picture! You’re so smitten with Victoria that you’re going to overlook the fact that Victor kidnapped our family!?
Phyllis just saw Nikki at the club. Victor doesn’t want to discuss his wife. Are you here to make a deal or flap your gums? I hold the Newman empire in my hot little hand – what deal do you have for me? Phyllis asks. Victor’s offering Jack for Chancellor. You said you wanted everything. What changed your mind? she wonders.
How are we going to fix this? Jack sulks. You’re not alone, Billy’s supportive. He’ll get Patty off the boat and see if her story checks out – then come back and get you guys. After Billy leaves, Jack asks Kyle if they can save the judgement until they get home. Kyle won’t say a word – for now.
Why is this the first time Nate’s seen this pic? He and Devon have been worried sick! This would have been helpful. Cane was trying to negotiate with Victor. What kind of man claims that family means everything then kidnaps mine?? The only one to blame for this mess is YOU, Nate’s blunt.
As Diane stomps upstairs, Kyle and Billy agree that was the most disturbing car ride they’ve ever taken. In the dining room, Jack’s having a much needed drink. I may be home but I’m anything but safe, he sighs.

Why do you want less than you originally asked for? Phyllis wonders. Victor just wants Chancellor back – be a hero to your kids and Jack can come home tonight. Done, Phyllis agrees. Victor will have his lawyers send over the signed contract. He sends a text – Jack’s a free man. I played your game and I won – I’m a player on your level, she boasts.
It IS my doing, Cane can’t blame Victor, Phyllis or Victoria – he can’t sleep he’s so worried about Lily and the kids. I put my family in jeopardy, he admits. Nate thinks they should trust that Victoria’s right – they’ll be home soon. Cane will live with regret for the rest of his life. Everything changes now, he vows.
You and Victor love each other, Claire knows. Nikki hates seeing the man she loves and respects be so cruel. He’s gone too far.
Victor’s amused – you think you’re equal to me? Don’t be a sore loser, I beat you – I won’t let you harsh my mellow, Phyllis gloats – I saved Jack and still own NE. Show yourself out, Victor’s left to smirk smugly to himself.
Billy will come back to check on Jack in the morning – I hope you and Diane can fix this. I love you. Jack raises his glass. Kyle strolls in to pour himself a drink and sit across from his Dad. Diane comes downstairs with an overnight bag and leaves without being seen.
