Sharon knows this is hard but Nick would let us know or bring Adam home if things weren’t going well. It might not be up to Nick, Chelsea’s convinced that Adam’s not OK. Her gut tells her he’s in danger.
Risa calls to summon Spyder to her suite and wishes him good luck; her partner will be waiting. Adam will be there in an hour. Ending the call, Adam tells Nick that he’ll signal him if it’s Matt. You come and we’ll take him down.
Matt asks Risa about Spyder. He’s the most skilled card player she’s ever met. Matt doesn’t like that Spyder left the game and wonders why he’s back now.
Yes, Lily tells Holden that she heard the news – it’s pretty shocking. Malcolm thanks him for taking the test. Holden’s phone pings – the results are in.
Nick shakes his head when Adam ignores a call from Chelsea. It’s not right for you or her that you’re Spyder again. You’re putting yourself in danger. He’s beginning to think they should call it off. We’re too close, Matt’s here – we can’t let him get away, Adam insists. Fine, Nick then asks him to call Risa- her partner should come to us. No, Risa will get suspicious – let me do my thing; Adam will be Spyder for a little while longer. Nick can’t let him do this.
Maybe Spyder missed the action, Risa laughs when Matt suggests she’s into the guy. There’s no romantic history? No. Don’t lie to me, Matt warns. Interesting, she never took him for the jealous type ~kiss~
In the bathroom, Nick ingests some of his powdery drugs and checks in the mirror to make sure his nose is clean.
All are disappointed that Holden’s not a match. Lily will take Malcolm to LA; we’ll get the twins tested. Stephanie’s surprised to learn that he has grandkids. When Lily insists on going with him, Malcolm says she needs to get back to her life – he’ll go to LA by himself for the blood test.
Nick comes out to grab a bottle of water and offer a solution. What took you so long? Adam wonders. Nick’s plan is that he’ll get into Risa’s room and grab Matt. He night have a weapon, Adam’s not comfortable with Nick going in alone. That’s the way this was always going to end – me and Matt. Nick appreciates everything Adam’s done but will take it from here. OK – Adam agrees – you go in. Turn your phone on – I’ll wait in the hallway.
Risa ends the kiss because Spyder will be there soon. Matt wants her to go; you’re a distraction. You don’t have a problem with that do you? No, she’ll be downstairs. Call if you need me.
Her call to Adam going to voicemail, Chelsea tries Nick. When he doesn’t answer either, she hopes Sharon now agrees with her that something’s not right.
In the hallway, Adam frowns at his phone displaying two missed calls from Chelsea.
While Lily calls Devon to say that she needs the company jet to fly Malcolm to LA, right now, Malcolm apologizes for any pain he caused. It wasn’t your secret, Holden asks to be kept posted. Malcolm assures Stephanie that he’s not furious with her. Holden can see the affection his parents have for one another.
Lily rejoins the group to announce that the jet’s fueled up and ready to go. She’ll videochat the twins on the drive over; they can get tested before Malcolm even gets to LA. Stephanie will have it processed immediately. Appreciating all the help, Malcolm’s a ‘lucky man’. He thanks Stephanie and pats Holden on the shoulder on his way out.
Sharon can think of dozens of reasons Nick and Adam wouldn’t answer their phones. Convinced she’s right, Chelsea’s going to Vegas!
Nick calls Adam to say he’s at the door. As instructed, he keeps his phone on and puts it in his pocket, Noticing the door’s ajar, he calls out – hello? Anyone in here? As Adam listens, the door slams shut and a black hood is popped over Nick’s head.
