Matt’s not that guy anymore, Phyllis really likes him. Nick’s trying to do her a favour. She doesn’t want him to do her any favours. Matt chimes in to say he’s tried making amends and is leaving. You don’t HAVE to leave, Phyllis tells Matt. The Newmans don’t get to choose who stays in town, she leads Matt off for a ‘private conversation’.
Markham can’t come back from this, Jack and Kyle are sure. Diane disagrees – he thinks he’s the smartest person in every room – he won’t consider that the police will believe us over him – and he won’t go away quietly. Jack will beef up security.

Diane’s done some digging – Markham wrote a paper with Laurent – titled Narcissistic Personality Disorders and he was on the board of the clinic Ashley was treated at. Diane needs to visit Martin Laurent. Traci appears – you’re not thinking of contacting that monster!?
Diane’s sorry – she should have discussed this with Traci first. She thinks there’s a connection between Markham and Martin. He’ll never talk to you, but he’ll talk to me, Traci can get that information. I have to do this. After Jack goes to call Burrow to arrange the meeting, Traci tells Diane that she looks forward to seeing that maniac.
Victoria’s not surprised to hear that Matt and Phyllis were kissing like teenagers – they belong together. They’ve been circling each other since he came to town, Nick doesn’t like seeing Phyllis go from one mistake to the next. Victoria has no sympathy and wonders if Nick’s jealous – do you still have feelings for Phyllis?
