Matt would have said something to me before leaving town, Phyllis KNOWS Victor’s behind this. Go to the cops and file a missing persons report on the drug dealing rapist, Adam scoffs. Cane chimes in to say that Matt’s a con artist who saw Phyllis as a port in a storm. Adam’s surprised that she’s being such a naive sap.
If Billy doesn’t convince her, Lily’s ready to go to war. Pouring wine, she’s waiting for his answer.
OK, Billy will play this game of ‘who loves Katherine more’. Chancellor isn’t a trophy – he’s had a vision for the company beyond the next century and has more heart and passion than Cane will ever have. Lily’s not impressed with the ‘buzz words’ and thinks Cane’s doing a great job. He’s a caretaker who’ll keep the lights on, Billy feels he’s the only one who can take the Chancellor ‘to the stars’.
‘Wow’ – naked under a blanket on Jack’s sofa, Victoria and Kyle agree ‘this can never happen again’. It was ‘pretty great’ though.
Matt’s commitment to me is real and genuine, Phyllis scoffs at the notion of Cane and Adam lecturing her on loyalty. Admitting he kinda liked the guy, Cane knows he and Adam have done things they regret. After Phyllis goes to sit at a table, Adam asks Cane if she’s falling for Matt.
Maybe Phyllis is lonely, Cane asks Adam if he’s ever been lonely. Adam gets back to business – are you gonna find dirt on Billy or will you let him walk away with the prize?
Chancellor IS Billy’s priority but yes, he’s also focused on proving himself to the haters – this is MY time! This is life changing and life affirming for me – are you going to stand in the way of that???
Victoria and Kyle agree that their next meeting shouldn’t be here. At the door, he initiates a passionate (ick) kiss. This is crazy – we can’t tell a soul.
