While Sally scolds Billy for glaring at Adam instead of focusing on her, Adam’s flashing back to her furious reaction when learning that he chose her life over the baby’s.
Billy tells Sally that he and Adam briefly found common ground; being fathers but he’ll never stop coming after me.
Still at the bar, Chelsea knows Adam’s upset about Sally. It’s deeper than sympathy – and that’s OK.
A guy died yesterday, Nick talks to the group. One of our own, Marie, was almost accused of murder. Good news – she’s free and clear. Marie’s a good person; I hope she comes back. During the incident, Nick didn’t think about taking pills – that’s progress, he chokes up.
No need for things to get ‘heated’, Jack and Nikki cool down the rhetoric between Kyle and Victoria. Leaving, Kyle smiles as he flashes back to motel sex. Back in the office, Diane’s flabbergasted when Jack offers to give Nikki some pointers.
Now alone, Nick asks the doctor if she’s heard from Marie; she needs support now more than ever – he was hoping she’d walk in. You can’t fix others, hang in there, the doctor leaves Nick looking alone and lonely.
Sally’s happy, Chelsea credits Billy. She’s about to have two kids – one cute and little, the other a big dufus, Adam grumbles. Told to ‘reel it in’, he tells Chelsea that he loves her and is sorry. With a kiss, they go home to discuss the boarding school with Connor.
After Adam and Chelsea leave, Billy apologizes for taking the bait. Sally has news reports that Audra’s selling Victoria patents in exchange for a payout and an exclusive ad buy. Billy has news too – Jack offered to fund a start up but ‘I don’t trust him to have my back’
Diane again looks annoyed as Jack offers to tell Nikki about innovations in the industry. Saying she’ll be in touch, Nikki and Victoria leave Diane to warn Jack that Victor won’t stay on the sidelines – he might see this a winner take all.
