Claire declares the Abbott home new yet familiar; warm and welcoming. But, both she and Jack look surprised when Kyle asks – can you see us living here?
Mike barges into the ranch to clear up a few things with Victor. What he has to say might change his mind on going after the Abbott’s – something’s off with Matheson – we may have a problem.
Audra doesn’t like Lily’s implication that she’s hiding something. Lily hasn’t forgotten that she tried to steal their family company. Audra regrets that but if you’re trying to goad me into a fight you might get your wish.
Are you serious? Claire reminds Kyle that they decided neither of their homes would work for them. Leaving to meet Billy for drinks, Jack hopes Claire will consider the idea – you’re more than welcome. Now alone, Claire asks Kyle if he’s changed his mind on getting their own place.
It’s been crickets since Matheson asked for more money, Mike reports that when he finally called, he was sorry for ghosting us but was sick with the flu. His other sources/spies at Jabot say he didn’t call in sick to work. Victor thinks that’s why Jack was so giddy.
Audra’s not looking for a fight either – she hopes Lily will meet her half way. What happened in LA between you and Holden? Lily knows their connection wasn’t casual. Holden again looks over from the bar.
Holden and I had a brief fling, Audra couldn’t be sure his real name wasn’t Damian. Lily won’t give it up – turning around, she’s not surprised to see Holden staring at Audra (who can’t help that men find her attractive) Lily wishes she believed Audra – you’ve again hidden your connection to someone coming after our family business.
Jack joins Billy in the jazz lounge to order expensive Scotch. They briefly discuss Martin duping Traci – he’s locked up and can’t hurt anyone else. The house is done and Diane did an amazing job – just like she is with Jabot Classic. Is Abbott Communications ready to go?
Kyle wants Claire to move in until they find the perfect place. It’d help Harrison transition to you being his stepmom. He hopes she’s not having second thoughts.
When Victor tells Mike not to worry about Kyle, the clever lawyer suspects he’s up to something and doesn’t like being kept in the dark. Victor doesn’t fully trust him.
