Half the guests are getting impatient – the other half are inclined to enjoy the ride. Jack and Nick think Victor and Nikki were wise to skip this.
In their sleeping car, a refreshed but cranky Nikki puts her earrings on. Victor doesn’t seem bothered – what Dumas doesn’t realize is that I love this type of game – cheers.
Meeting at the entrance to the maze, Amanda chuckles at Aristotle having Carter tell the Newmans that he’ll let them know when he’s ready. Your guests may kill each other before you get there, she warns. This is what he’s waited for – he won’t let anything ruin it now.
Victor knows that Dumas is stuffing his guests with booze and food so they won’t see what’s coming. If you know something, tell me – how worried are you? Nikki asks. Victor’s not worried – ‘that guy’ doesn’t know what he’s in for.
Are you sure? Amanda asks. Yes – this is how Dumas wants to handle things. Are you ready for it? You might want more time? she adds that part of her job is ‘risk assessment’. He’s come too far to back out now.
Billy can tell that some of their companions are getting restless. Whaddaya say we dine and dash? Sally’s fine with that – as long as she doesn’t have to make small talk with ‘her’ (Phyllis)
Phyllis lets the Abbotts believe that Aristotle invited her. If he’s looking to take out his competition, he’s probably looking for a henchman or woman, Diane quips. Good idea, Phyllis moseys off.
Audra asks the Winters if anyone has a sat. phone – she’d like to check on Amy; hopefully this time away from her and Nate is worth it. That’s the lawyer, Lily informs Damian when Amanda arrives. Damian’s never met or heard of her. And she’s Devon’s ex, Lily adds. Amanda tells everyone that Dumas is excited to see all of them – very soon.
Dumas’ absence is insulting and Nikki’s starving – we’re going to have to leave this car eventually. On cue, Carter knocks – Mr Dumas has landed in Nice and is looking forward to meeting his guests – let me escort you to the ‘meeting locale’. About damn time, Victor grumbles.
Thanking Amanda, Phyllis is happy that everyone’s being made to cool their heels (whereas she’s) patient. This is the best party ever. He’s gonna show right?? He’s already here, Amanda tells her. Assuring Phyllis that she doesn’t have lipstick on her teeth, Amanda compliments Lily and discreetly asks to speak to her privately. Phyllis follows.
Amanda leads Lily far enough away that no one can eavesdrop – how was your trip over? what’s going on? Lily wants to know. It’s not much further, Amanda assures. Sitting on a bench, Lily refuses to go any further.
When Devon wonders if Dumas’ plan is to try to cause a rift between him and Lily, Damian knows he wouldn’t be able to so. Devon wants to know why Amanda took Lily away.
Victor and Nikki join the gathering to report that Dumas will be making an appearance soon. If not, they’re all ready to head back to GC.
Kyle and Audra chat. Phyllis is a hacker – she can get into Dumas’ sat system, he confides. Audra’s there to make some noise for Vibrante and has her first post ready to go. Pour me another? she holds out her empty glass – Hashtag, pouring for the competition.
Devon tells Victor that Abby’s taking another flight. Introduced to Victor, Damian says no, he’s never been to an event like this or heard of Dumas hosting one. He looks forward to coming face to face with his former boss.
