Her father’s jacket around her shoulders, Claire tells her Mom how sad she is that she won’t get to ride the ferris wheel in France with him (with the tickets he brought home for her)

At Society, Chris and Danny agree that being on the road is fun but it’s nice to be home. They also agree that Lucy’s doing well, Daniel, not so much.

Daniel and Tessa are playing their guitars in the park when Mariah arrives to watch them (unseen)

Chris disapproves of Phyllis going to the south of France when he son’s in need; Danny thinks that might not be a bad thing.

Listening to Tessa sing the song she wrote with Daniel, Mariah flashes back to her time with the creepy, old (and likely dead now) man. Daniel’s the first to spot her; Tessa then turns.

Continuing to reminisce about Cole, Vikki tells Claire to hang on to the good memories with him. So much has happened since the family went to Nice.

Johnny and Katie are both with friends, Vikki wishes they could be with their Dad. She has to arrange Cole’s cremation and memorial. Claire worries about grieving in the right way (she was raised not to be emotional) What if Listen to your heart, Vikki advises.

Again complaining about Phyllis abandoning her son and Lucy, Chris wonders if Danny’s not bothered by her radio silence.

Don’t run away, Tessa calls out. Mariah loved the song. She’s a good instructor, Daniel says pointedly – she forgives any and all mistakes.

After speaking to the funeral home, Vikki tells Claire about the service they had for her in Memorial’s chapel all those years ago. Claire would like to read the poem her father recited at her service.
