In the park, Tessa’s so blown away when Daniel plays a song he composed that she gives him an impulsive hug (now, it’s his turn to be blown away)
At CL’s, Mariah’s relieved to hear that Nick will be OK and that her Mom’s home safely. Sharon wonders what happened that’s so terrible that Mariah left her wife and child.
Audra gives Nate a welcome home hug at Society. Back from arranging Damian’s funeral in Chicago, he’s worried about Amy shutting down – and detects that Audra’s also worried about something.
At home, Kyle whines to his Dad about Audra implying that they slept together in her sleeping car. Jack hopes Claire’s not falling for Audra’s lies.
Vikki comes down to ask Claire why she’s upset. Claire’s not upset, she’s pissed off – grandpa made a deal to fund Audra if she broke her and Kyle up. He hates our relationship so much he’s willing to break my heart.
Claire rants about her grandfather’s actions – I don’t even want to see him again.
Kyle’s not sure if Claire believes him. He put a stop to Audra’s attempt to seduce him. Before it got out of hand, or after? Jack asks. ‘It progressed to a point’ but Kyle had to play along to see how far Audra was willing to go. Jack’s worried about Audra knowing something Claire doesn’t. She’s not giving up without a fight.
Audra claims that she’s just worried about Amy – and reeling from everything that happened in Nice. Nate wants to know what’s going with Vibrante. She’s decided not to go forward with Victor as her investor. What did he do? Nate’s puzzled.
After adjusting Daniel’s ‘death grip’ on his guitar, Tessa tells him that Mariah’s distant and guarded; she won’t open up or change her mind.
Sharon’s happy to hear that Mariah’s seeing a therapist but concerned that she ‘can’t’ move back home; Aria needs you. Stop – Mariah knows what she’s doing – this is the way it has to be.
Jack’s sure Victor will back off on his plan with Audra to keep his granddaughter. Too late, Claire’s furious, Kyle updates. When Jack worries that Audra might lash out, Kyle vows not to let her ruin his relationship.
Nate will go see Victor right now – he won’t get away with this! He didn’t do anything, Audra realized that he (and everyone else) is right so she called it off. Something must have happened, Nate persists.
