Over breakfast at Society, Kyle tells his parents that Audra kissed him – in front of Claire.
At the tackhouse, Vikki’s happy to hear that Claire had a good chat with Tessa. When Nate arrived with Audra, I told him everything, Claire adds.
Meeting in the park, Nate tells Devon that Audra might be as untrustworthy as everyone warned him she is.
At CL’s, Sally’s impressed with Audra’s ad sale projections. Audra’s more worked up about Claire telling Nate about her deal with Victor.
When Nikki joins him downstairs, Victor admits that he’s been doing a lot of thinking – about Claire and Kyle (complete with flashbacks)
Three conversations from three completely different perspectives occur simultaneously:
Nate tells Devon everything Claire told him – and what Audra told him. Who do you believe? Devon asks.
Audra’s version paints Claire as a bitch who wasted no time telling Nate that she kissed Kyle. The truth is, HE’s been pursuing ME. Did Nate believe you or Claire? Sally wonders.
Claire tells her Mom that she ‘lost it’. Audra lied (to Nate) through her perfect teeth. Who does Nate believe? Vikki asks.
Jack and Diane are sure Audra arranged for Claire to walk in on her kissing Kyle. Nothing happened in Nice, right???? Kyle admits that the kiss Claire witnessed wasn’t his and Audra’s first.
Victor’s decided to settle this thing once and for all. Where are you going? Nikki’s left to bleat.
Kyle couldn’t tell Claire about the kiss when he got home because her father had just died. And he certainly can’t tell her now. Jack and Diane agree that a lie by omission is still a lie. If it DOES get out, Claire might start believing Audra.
Claire was pretty convincing, Audra admits. Because she was telling the truth, Sally points out. Kyle was a towel away from going all the way, Audra continues to put the onus on him. Nate grilled me all night, then slept on the couch, Audra whines. Sally’s sorry but Nate finding out was always a risk.
Nate wants to believe Audra but Claire has no reason to lie, and it never sat right with him that Victor invested in Audra. Now, she claims that SHE ended the partnership (Vikki said Victor did) Nate has no idea who’s telling the truth – or who was kissing who.
Victor drops by the tackhouse, insisting on speaking to Claire in private (which neither she nor Vikki are overly keen on)
