Joining his ‘good friend’ (Nikki) in the park, Jack gripes about Victor and doesn’t know where to start with his other issues.

When Sally drops by the house, Diane reluctantly lets her come in to wait for Jack. No – Billy’s not alright, he’s about to make the biggest mistake of his life.

As soon as Billy boards the train, Cane wants an answer – how long have you dreamed about taking Victor down?

In his office, Victor’s on the phone with Mike – this is going very well. Keep me informed ~click~ Well, well – I’ll be damned, he chortles to himself about taking down Cane, Billy Boy and Jack in ‘one fell swoop’.

It’s complicated, Sally politely but insistently tells Diane that she’d rather talk to Jack.

Back in the park, Jack rants about Billy pushing his family aside to work with Cane. He returned his investment in AC. Comparing Victor to Cane, he alarms Nikki – God only knows what Billy will do to get Chancellor.

Billy tells Cane that Sally just needs time. She worries about AC being an afterthought (and the illegality of the plan) Billy knows it’s a gamble. You’re a gambler, Cane encourages him to bet the house on himself.

According to Billy, Cane has a ‘secret thing’ to attack all of them, Jack doesn’t know more. Victor knows something too, Nikki reports. Cane might not have anything but he’s appealing to Billy’s weak spot. He’s my brother – I love him, Jack wants him to succeed. Cane’s going after companies and families – maybe he IS the devil. I’ll be damned, Victor strolls over.

Back on the Cane-train, Billy’s pressured for an answer. He’s sure Sally will come around. Cane’s offer to talk to her is rejected. He doesn’t want Billy to risk his relationship – it’s not worth it. Billy’s onboard – all the way.

Sally thinks Jack might be the only one who can talk sense into Billy. Diane excuses herself to call Jack (who answers and is immediately on his way) Maybe I can help, Victor warns a retreating Jack that he might not be able to handle the trouble coming his way.

Must you always be so disagreeable with Jack? Nikki scolds Victor – and what did you mean that he has trouble heading his way? Adding that Jack’s also concerned about Cane’s threats, she suggests they fight him together.

Billy wants written assurances that he gets Chancellor. This plan is less than legal, he reminds – you want a safety net to keep me from cheating you? He knows this is about Billy proving himself to Jill – would you really risk everything for that?
