Claire’s stunned when Kyle appears (with flowers) while she’s relaxing at the famous outdoor cafe in LA. What are you doing here? she asks bluntly.
Vikki joins Nate at CL’s to tell him about Noah’s car accident. She’s waiting for an update from Nick.
Nick finds Sharon dozing in a chair in the hospital waiting room. Nick, Nick, she sobs in his arms.
Vikki explains that Noah was in LA to meet investors. Nick and Sharon have been through this too many times with the kids, she frets. Nate will keep them in his prayers. He’s working on a donation to Memorial so that he can name a cancer wing after Damian. Vikki was thinking of doing something similar to honour Cole, and the psychiatric team that treated Claire.
Did something happen at home? Claire asks. No – Kyle just wanted to bring her some flowers. Initially, he claims that he tracked her down through pictures she posted on social media – then admits that he begged her Mom to tell him. After a brief chat about Harrison, Claire reminds Kyle that she’s in LA because she needs space – understand and respect that. Looks like you had a late night, Kyle’s observation earns him no points.
Sharon tells Nick that Noah’s in surgery – he suffered a lot of trauma to his face and skull. She doesn’t know how long she’s been there. It doesn’t sound good (from what little she’s heard) I can’t do this, not again.
We won’t lose our boy, he’s so strong, Nick offers false bravado. Sharon knew something was wrong when Noah didn’t answer her texts/calls. The California Highway patrol contacted her after finding Noah’s rental car in a ravine.
Vikki updates Nate that Claire broke up with Kyle. Nate’s sorry to hear it. He’s working through his break up too and no, he won’t change his mind about Audra. Vikki worries Claire will do something she regrets – with Holden Novak.
Declaring her trip ‘spectacular’ and Holden a good tour guide, Claire declines going for a drive along the coast with Kyle. When he asks if Holden’s staying at the hotel too, she tells him to take his flowers and go home. I’ve made my choice – respect that. On cue, Holden appears to offer a cautious ‘good morning’.
