Eating at Society, Billy shares an idea on how to relaunch Abbott Communications – he whispers a name in Sally’s ear; he’s spoken to an LA based platform that’s very popular with AC’s target demographic . When she mentions Audra, he thinks hiring her might be a ‘misstep’.

Kyle gets the feeling Claire might be sorry he’s going home. She’s touched that he realized that being in a hospital might be hard for her and reminded of how close they were. Kyle will never give up on Claire – he’s just giving her time and space – you don’t want me to go? She looks conflicted.

Cane and Phyllis (in short, matching satin lingerie and robe) are a couple of close-talkers. What happens now? she asks seductively. That’s up to you, he says.

We’re lucky Audra was available, Sally reminds Billy that she ran Newman Media. He must voice his ‘trepidation’ – you hired her because she was a friend having a hard time finding work – she’s a liability who blew up her last two start-ups; neither Glacade or Vibrante even got a product on the shelf. Does Jill know Audra’s part of the deal? he asks.

When Holden appears, Kyle offers to get rid of him if Claire wants to continue their conversation. No, he’s here to pick me up – do what’s best for you, she goes to sit with Holden. On his way out, Kyle looks at the photo of Sienna on his phone, wondering what she can tell him about Holden.

When Phyllis edges closer, Cane recoils – what are you doing? Did you think I was going to kiss you? she’s amused. I don’t need to ‘throw you off’ – I have nothing to hide. Cane hopes not.

You thought I was trying to seduce you? To use my sexuality as a weapon? That’s low, Phyllis taunts – thinking that Cane should focus on who stole his AI. If it’s not you, Cane demands she help him find out who it was.

No, Jill doesn’t know that Audra’s part of the package but Sally doesn’t see it as a problem. Billy admires her loyalty – but our new investor won’t like it and you don’t need Audra (since he’s once again committed to the company)

Holden feels like he interrupted something between Claire and Kyle. Not really, he was just telling me he’s going home. Holden correctly guesses she’s not sure how she feels about that.

We need to work together, Phyllis is sure Victor has Cane’s AI and that he maliciously published ‘all that dirt’ on Newman Media to distract him. We need to confront Victor immediately. Don’t worry about him, Cane will take care of Victor.

Sally welcomes Billy’s input but won’t change her mind on hiring Audra. He doesn’t like keeping Jill’s secret – she’s testing me anonymously. Sally wonders if he regrets giving up on his dream of getting Chancellor back.

Claire likes that things are so easy with Holden – what she ‘had’ with Kyle was complicated. Falling in love is never simple, Holden doesn’t want to make things harder for Claire and Kyle. He’s terrified of losing you (Holden wouldn’t want to lose someone as beautiful and intelligent as Claire either) Relaying a couple of stories of Kyle being ‘sweet’, she feels no closer to finding out what it is she wants (but bristles at the suggestion that she should go home)
