Or course Mike remembered their anniversary – he didn’t answer Lauren’s calls because he was busy planning this romantic surprise; recreating his casino-themed proposal that had Lauren in tears, then (via flashback) and now.
Over champagne at the bar, Mike and Lauren take a walk down memory lane; their first ‘electric’ kiss; a game of strip poker; Mike setting up a tropical honeymoon at home. We’re as hot and heavy as we’ve ever been, he demands a kiss. Sashaying over to the blackjack table, Lauren will make him win it.
Lauren shuffles; Mike must win all her chips to get a kiss. Damn it! he loses the first hand but wins the second. Chatting about Fen, they flashback to her announcing being pregnant. Their kiss is interrupted by Phyllis – hi guys – casino night?
You rented out my living room, Phyllis will leave the Baldwins to it. When Mike grumbles about Phyllis always crashing events, Lauren wants peace for her anniversary; we’re best friends; an unbreakable bond. We’ve been through a lot together; more flashbacks and a group hug before Phyllis goes on her way.
Sharing a piece of cake (the same one they had at their wedding) the Baldwins now reminisce about the rough times; Lauren coming back from the dead, her cheating, arguing about Fen, Mike’s cancer. They fight hard and love hard ~hug~
