In front of the revolving door, Sally squirms as Billy launches into his stand-up routine – targeting first Phyllis, then Cane. Why are you two so cozy?
As everyone waits for his decision, Victor holds up a finger, then reads something on his phone. What’s wrong? an alarmed Nikki asks.
Seeing Cane and Phyllis whispering earlier, Billy wondered if they were working together – but then he remembered that Cane’s company’s dead and Phyllis doesn’t work. So, what are you two cooking up?
Victor has to deal with something. Is this your way of playing hard ball? Jack objects – it’s a mistake. Matt deadpans – dude, it looks like you totally wasted a trip.
Aside, Jack chats with Nikki. He doesn’t get it – isn’t this the guy who framed Nick for murder etc. etc.? It’s him, Nikki confirms – but doesn’t know what could be more important to Victor.
Matt asks Kyle if he wants to make a deal – ‘the enemy of my enemy’ and all that. Adam marches over to ask what he’s saying. Zip tied, Matt has an itch, which one of you wants to scratch it? Nikki knows he’s scared – you like to hurt women? Well here’s one who wants to put you in the ground herself!
Building another fortune? Whipping up another mega-corp? Billy’s tirade continues. Phyllis tells him to mind his own business, suggesting he’s jealous because Cane’s accomplished more than he ever will. What do YOU have to show for all the chances YOU’VE been given? Though Sally would like to go home, Phyllis has more to say….
Are you going to bore me to death? Matt jokes, and when Jack defends Nikki, he remembers ‘You two were married, how sweet’. Matt knows Jack’s ‘smokeshow’ of a wife won’t like that. When Kyle thinks Matt should beg for mercy, Matt scoffs – not a chance!
After Phyllis lists all of his lies, Billy warns Cane not to work with her. You always take the easy way out – the short cut – while the rest of us work our asses off, she continues -you’ll know soon enough what we’re working on; she can’t wait to watch Billy ‘crumble’. You provoked her, Cane shakes his head, then follows Phyllis through the revolving door. That leaves Sally to ask Billy what’s going on.
This is just a day in the life of thugs threatening my life, Matt tells Jack that he overplayed his hand; Victor doesn’t care and ‘the Jr’s have no juice’. After the guards remove their chatty captive, Jack and Kyle appeal to Adam (who sees no need for his father to go after Jabot because they’ve already destroyed Jabot on their own)
This isn’t the way Sally wanted to end their evening. If you’ve really changed, tell me what’s on your mind. Cane and Phyllis plan to go after Newman Enterprises, Billy confides.
On the CL’ patio, Phyllis continues to whine about everyone mistreating her. Turn the AI on, she orders. Is this really what you want? Cane asks. Yes – WE are taking NE away from Victor. You have no chance with Lily, she adds for good measure.
