At home, Jack updates Diane – finding Matt wasn’t the craziest part of the evening. Victor didn’t call off the dogs – he’s got bigger problems; it seems the dogs are hunting him now.
Also at home, Billy’s toasting alone – to Cane and Phyllis for taking down Victor. Joke’s on you old man. To Victor and NE going down in flames. A salty Sally appears to ask if he’s coming to bed. Are you drinking again?
At the ranch, Vikki and Adam are barking into their phones while Nikki badgers Victor – who’s doing this to us!?
Meanwhile, in Cane’s bed, Phyllis fantasizes that Victor’s giving her a giant key to Newman Enterprises. He and Cane agree that she’s a genius. You’re the true heir to Katherine’s legacy, Nikki adds. Cane comes back to pop the bubbly. To new adventures – to having it all, they drink.
** Worked 10 hours today. No time for spellcheck etc.
There’s no problem, let’s go to bed, Billy tries to escape. Arms folded, Sally can’t ignore that he’s been agitated lately – every nerve in your body’s wired for action, it’s scaring her. Billy admits that Phyllis plotting with Cane got under his skin. What the hell is this? An intervention? I’m fine – we’re fine.
Victor suddenly got a text that drained the colour from his face. The earth just shifted for us, Jack tells Diane that he’s scared/rattled. the town bully just got punched in the face.
Of course Victor’s upset. This isn’t an inside job – no one knows about the software. He doesn’t suspect Jack, it’s Phyllis or Cane – or both.
Phyllis is ecstatic – when do we let Victor know that WE did this? She can’t wait to see him fall – and can’t wait to tell her kids. Oops – sorry (she remembers that Cane’ kids aren’t talking to him) I did it – I buried him. She can’t wait to tell Victor.
Victor ordered us out of the house, Jack does an impression; ‘now! now!’ He and Diane are proud of Kyle (who saw Vikki on is way out – it’ big if he’s summoned everyone) Jack thinks he knows what’s up – thanks to his ‘little brother’.
Sally lectures Billy. She just heard him say he’s jealous because Phyllis and Cane are the ones to take Victor down – and you just lied to me about it. THAT’S why I’m upset.
Nikki throws her hands in the air. If Cane had the ability to do this, why didn’t he strike immediately. Victor knows Phyllis is behind it too. They worked together. This will come down to good old fashioned negotiating, Victor wags his finger – everyone has a price.
Phyllis has plans for Victor’s office – she’ll redo it and invite him back to see it. Cane doesn’t want the office – but let’s keep the portrait. As a dart board? Phyllis jokes. Both ignore their phones going off – let the Newmans stew.
Jack tells Diane that Billy told him that Cane and Phyllis are using the AI program against Newman, like he used it against Arabesque. Diane never thought she’d say it – but ‘yay Phyllis’. Jabot could still be in jeopardy, he warns her.
Phyllis catches Cane being distracted/ Please don’t be that guy – moody and brooding – this is too amazing, she coerces. Cane saw sadness in Billy’s eyes – it broke his heart. Phyllis doesn’t care if he overheard them, That’s not worries Cane.
