Coming downstairs looking for Billy, Sally finds a note saying he’s gone for a run to clear his head. Suspecting he’s running from her questions, she texts Audra – you awake?
Boarding the train with Cane, Phyllis asks Nick what he’s doing there – and what happened to your leg? Like you give a damn! the only words Nick wants to hear from Phyllis is why she’s doing this to his family!
Talk to ME – taking Newman down was MY idea, Cane tells Nick (who only wants to hear from Phyllis right now) We’re keeping your Dad’s portrait for a dartboard, she taunts. You’re delusional to think you’ll get away with this, Nick snarls – we’ll crush you.
Getting a text from Billy, Cane suddenly has to leave for a meeting. At this hour? Phyllis is left to face the wrath of Nick.
Over drinks at Society, Audra surprises Sally with news that she’s moving on from her feud with Claire. I made nice with her and it ticked her off even more – maybe I can kill her with kindness. So, what’s Billy done this time? she asks. Sally can’t shake the feeling that he’s not being honest with her.
At CL’s, Billy hopes he didn’t take Cane away from something important. Knowing he’s working on something big, he assumes Cane has either a warning or an offer for him – so, which is it?
Sally tells Audra that Billy overheard Cane and Phyllis talking about taking Victor down – when she called him out on being jealous, he admitted it.
On the CL’s patio, Billy asks Cane if he and Phyllis plan to take down NE. More than ‘planning’; Phyllis and I practically own NE. Billy’s jealous it wasn’t him – how’d you do it? Did Phyllis steal the software back? The AI is infiltrating all Newman entities, Cane asks if Billy’s still interested in Chancellor.
Struggling to his feet, Nick invokes the past as he blasts Phyllis. You won’t come back from this – I’ll tell Summer everything. Cane’s going down – and so are you! Phyllis crows – Cane and I have won – your finger wagging and insults won’t change the fact that we’re taking over Newman. This is NOT a win – you’re going to lose everything, Nick warns – starting with your family. Are you done? Phyllis asks – it’s MY turn to talk.
We’ll always be family, we share a daughter – but you’ve watched me drown, Phyllis whines about doors being slammed in her face. You offered help on YOUR terms – you want to control me! She needed someone who saw her potential and creativity and took a legitimate offer. After all she’s endured this year, Phyllis doesn’t see how Nick can look her in the eye and deny she deserves a win.
