Sally’s on the train to blast Cane. What the hell is wrong with you?! Hell yeah, Billy told her about the offer to run Chancellor. You have no idea how hard he’s worked to better himself. Why would you derail him like that!?

At the Abbott mansion, Billy tells Jack that Cane offered him Chancellor. Jack’s NOT impressed – Nikki must be devastated!

Phyllis gives Ester a hefty tip – ‘life is on the upswing’. Is it? Chelsea arrives to say – you must be proud of yourself. Yes, Phyllis is, and she’s really loving life right now.

Nikki’s going to be out at Chancellor – like it or not, someone will take her place, Billy reasons. Will you give her 5 minutes to clear out her desk? Jack quips. Billy will give Nikki as much time as she gave HIM to pack his boxes. He hasn’t accepted Cane’s offer. Jack’s sure he will – you want what you want, the people you claim to love be damned.

Sally declines a croissant Cane has flown in from France. She doesn’t care about his baked goods, she cares about Billy. Cane knows Billy better than Sally does. We’re not blood brothers but we’re very much alike. Billy wants Chancellor more than anything; Cane thinks he can have Sally AND Chancellor – are you really going to stand in his way?

Since Newman Media is going down, Phyllis will talk to Summer about a job for Chelsea in fashion. Chelsea’s pleased to see Phyllis so confident – when we do strike back, you won’t know what hit you.

IF Billy takes Cane’s offer, it’d be to save Chancellor from the AI program and protect Katherine’s legacy. Jack knows his brother will do whatever the hell he wants. Billy’s hurt that Jack constantly thinks the worst of him. No, Sally wasn’t happy about it; Billy respects her judgement. If you did, you’d have told Cane ‘no thanks’, Jack disagrees.

Do you have any idea what Victor did to my company with my AI program? Cane won’t lose sleep about the Newmans. Adam hurt you, he adds. No, Sally doesn’t wish for Adam’s downfall. If Billy leaves AC for Chancellor things will blow up in his face, she believes.

It’s over, the Newmans lost – Cane and I win; we’ll be taking over at NE and NM within days, Phyllis tells Chelsea that she’s aligned herself with a ‘terrible’ family. Summer and Nick? They’ll be fine. Chelsea feels sorry for Phyllis – you cheated and stole; your arrogance will be your downfall – don’t get too comfortable, she leaves Daniel to mosey over and eyeball his Mom.

So, the rumours are true – you and Cane launched an attack on Newman, Daniel wonders ‘what happened to helping Jack, Jabot and Summer’? Phyllis tells him to ‘back off’. For once, be happy for me. Happy that you’re destroying a family business!? Daniel objects. And Summer knows (Nick told him) This is business, Phyllis ‘deserves this’. If you don’t get that, you don’t love me or believe in me like I thought you did, she marches out.

Sally worries about Billy’s ‘demons’ being ‘unleashed’. Cane has confidence that Billy can preserve Jill and Katherine’s legacy – apparently you don’t. No, Sally’s not worried that Abbott Communications will fold if Billy leaves. Cane’s trying to help Billy. Then rescind the offer, Sally’s convinced that if Billy accepts, Cane will be hurting him.
