Detective Call-me-James (Burrow) is at the estate to update Devon and Abby that (thanks to Abby’s viral video) one of many tips had led to a gas station sighting in Oklahoma.
In a diner, Mariah entertains Dom by making a funny face with her ketchup, then makes him put his ‘itchy’ ball cap back on. Are we playing hide and seek from everyone? the boy wonders.
You’re going to lose Chancellor if you don’t help me, Phyllis tells Billy that Victor’s holding Lily and the kids hostage. Cane’s losing his mind and is going to give everything back to him.
At the ranch, Nikki and the three kids watch on as Victor tells Cane that he won’t release Lily and the twins until his company is back in his control and the AI program is destroyed.
Mariah adjusts Dom’s hat – yes, we’re hiding from everybody. No, Mommy’s not coming to find us yet. This is the last stretch of the drive; where we’re going is epic. THEN will I see Mom and Dad? Dom asks again.
Burrow doesn’t have answers to Abby and Devon’s many questions. Mariah’s heading west on route 66; we have the make and colour of the car. We can catch up pretty quickly, Devon’s optimistic.
Billy would give Victor his company back if it was HIS loved ones who were abducted. We’re the same, Phyllis draws the comparison – we’ve both had companies taken away from us. We deserve what’s rightfully ours. She has a plan and needs Billy’s help to stop Cane. You’re gonna love it.
You people, Cane sneers – how are any of you OK with playing sick games while Abby and Devon need you? Is it going to be my father’s way or no way, Adam demands. Cane wants his family released at the same time he signs the company back to Victor; give me two hours. Nick hopes Phyllis isn’t an obstacle. She won’t be – Cane’s only concern is getting Lily and the kids back.
You really pulled it off – but what has Lily’s cooperation cost us? How bad is it? Adam asks Victor a question all want answered.
Billy’s understandably suspicious – you’re gonna stab me in the back. No, Phyllis insists – we only have a small window of time to thwart Cane. He and Victor have screwed us over so many times. Agreeing that Sally can have Newman Media, Phyllis instructs Billy to go distract the Newmans.
Nikki hopes Victor doesn’t plan to cross Lily again. She’ll get everything she was promised, Victor assures – then leaves Nikki and the three kids to discuss. Adam suspects they’ll have to give up something that’s important to one of them.
Detective Burrow asks Abby and Devon if they can think of where Mariah might be heading to.
Mariah tells Dom that they haven’t gone far enough in their adventure – you’ll see your parents soon. Let’s get a big chocolate sundae, she gives him another high five.
Billy arrives at the ranch – oh look, the gang’s all here. No, he’s not there to discuss the kids with Victoria – he announces that Cane plans to double cross Victor. How the hell do you know that? Victor’s suspicious.
Dom loves Disneyland, Devon suggests. Burrow doesn’t think Mariah would take him somewhere so public. Devon then calls Sharon – can you think of any reason Mariah would be headed west? Is that where she’s headed????!! Sharon shouts.
