On the train, Daniel chooses to stand while Cane claims that this is a hollow victory for Phyllis without him and Summer. If you, Summer and Lucy were back in her life, she’d give Victor his companies back. No, Phyllis didn’t exactly say that, he admits when pressed.
Victoria’s at the ranch worrying about Nick. Arriving on cue, he looks guilty when Victor asks his son where he’s been.
Both in robes, Sally comes downstairs as Billy comes out of the kitchen to say he’s making her breakfast in bed. With a kiss, she insists she’s not having second thoughts about being back together. Sally’s ‘fully committed’ on one condition – you’re not lying to me again.
Billy bared his heart and soul to Sally last night; I will not lie to you – ever. He’ll be honest and forthcoming. I love you, he repeats a few times. Sally loves him too. Look at us – so evolved. Billy will never let her go again ~kiss~
All Daniel hears is that his ‘heartbroken’ Mom has no intention of doing the right thing. You hope that if I forgive her, she’ll give NE back and Victor will release Lily and the kids, he correctly guesses.
Clearly in pain, Nick sits to tell his sister and parents that he ignored their calls/messages because he didn’t want to be talked out of what he did (flying to LA to look into Matt’s whereabouts)
Over coffee, Billy looks forward to being a power couple. Sally forgot how intoxicating his enthusiasm could be. To us, they clink mugs. You make me want to be the best version of myself, Billy gushes.
Victor made sure Matt didn’t have a dime to his name. That made it easier for him to disappear (no credit card interactions etc.) Nick points out. While Nikki and Victoria are glad he couldn’t find Matt,i Victor doesn’t like not knowing where he is.
Daniel disengaged because it made him sick to see his Mom acting like everyone should kiss the ground she walks on. Cane believes she’s only clinging to NE because she feels abandoned. If you forgave her, she’ll do the right thing.
You’re giving my Mom too much credit, Daniel believes forgiveness would only make her dig in more. What did my Mom say to make you think she’s had this life changing revelation?? he asks Cane.
What’s Phyllis done now? Hearing that she’s firing people she feels are too loyal to their family, he asks ‘what’s the plan? Victor’s done waiting for Cane’s plan – he’ll soon be implementing a plan of his own.
Billy owns his mistakes – he convinced Sally to start something with him, then bailed – then got defensive. Both enjoy the making up part more than the breaking up part. They then hear Phyllis demanding to talk to Billy (and proceeds in ringing the doorbell, a lot)
